AdBlockPlus always moved to the right end in statusbar ?
Hi !
AdBlockPlus statusbar-icon always moved ?
All other statusbar-icons stay where they were at shutdown, but after restarting Pale Moon AdBlockPlus has been moved to the right in the statusbar,
all the way to the end.
This has never happened in Firefox....

Re: AdBlockPlus always moved to the right end in statusbar ?
Checking mine (I don't normally have the status bar showing) I can move the ABP icon to a position on the status bar and closing/restarting the browser it stays where it is put.

Re: AdBlockPlus always moved to the right end in statusbar ?
Hi !
Thanks.
Interesting....
Then it might have something to do with ABP being the second last icon in the bar ( #2 from the right) ?
I have "Download manager" as the last icon, with a space between them.
I´ll try to reposition ABP and check what happens then.
But it is a bit weird that this happens only with PM, not FF, as all settings are the same,
in fact i copied the FF-profile to PM, now using to separate profiles.
Thanks.

Re: AdBlockPlus always moved to the right end in statusbar ?
I have found the cause.
It´s "spaces".
I had 2 "spaces" to the right of ABP.
ABP can´t have a "space" or a "separator" to the right of it, then it´s moved to the end after restarting.
If there is another icon to the right of ABP, then it keeps the position.

Re: AdBlockPlus always moved to the right end in statusbar ?
Glad you found the cause. As I said I don't use the status bar, the few icons I want to see are moved to the top of the browser and my download bar is in the address bar.

Sounds interesting....
But how do you mean, exactly where do you have them ?

Click a blank portion of your status bar (or top bars) and choose "customize". You can now drag icons around to where you want them and personalize your Pale Moon interface.
My top bars.
I moved ABP up to the top (plus it is disabled on this forum to help with a bit of ad revenue) to show you it will go up there.

Re: AdBlockPlus always moved to the right end in statusbar ?
Thanks.
I know how to "customize" and move icons, i´ve done that a lot....
I was just curious what you meant by "to the top".
Interesting idea though.
I have reorganised all icons, removed the statusbar, and got an extra line in the browser-window.
Btw. i also did the same reorganising in Firefox, and after moving the ABP-icon to the top i got the the same ABP-problem in FF !?

You can't customize the status bar without Organize Status Bar.

If you read my first post above you you will see that the problem is (was) not to reorganise the statusbar,
but to keep the position of the ABP-icon after restarting Pale Moon.

Re: AdBlockPlus always moved to the right end in statusbar ?
When I used to use ABP it stayed in place.
Re: AdBlockPlus always moved to the right end in statusbar ?
Out of curiosity but why are you using Adblock Plus in the first place? It's known to selectively let ads through regardless of user blacklists, which is one of the main reasons why Adblock Lite was done in the first place, and now the follow-up version that carries on development, Adblock Edge. In case you're wondering about differences between ABP and ABE, check this: http://www.reddit.com/r/privacy/comment ... k_edge_is/

If you don't want any ads at all, even the ones that keep ABP afloat, then just switch off the ABP "acceptable ads" in options.
