back menu
is anybody aware of an extension that adds an option or similar to context menu that allows you to page back to first page(or others)when you have gone to several pages, (without using history). the menu option allows one page at a time(back). have installed an ext called "tab history menu" which was given a good review by someone called "moonchild" goes somewhat to what I was looking for. please adv if u know of anything better.
Re: back menu
If I understand your post correctly, all you need to do is right-click on the back arrow and a drop-down list will appear with all the previous pages visited.

Context Menu History https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/context-menu-history/
Digger Reloaded https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/digger-fan-update/When you right-click on any page and bring up the context menu, "History" appears at the top of the menu. When you mouse over it, it expands to show the current tab's history. This gives you easier access to the tab's history menu.
Both work fine for me here on Pale Moon 24.1.1 x-64 / Windows 7 x64This addon provide mouse right button context-menu for "digging" through URL's.
1. Digger provides a context menu of URLs formed by repeatedly removing the last section of a hierarchical URL — changing http://example.com/foo/bar to http://example.com/foo — and then by trimming subdomains.
2. In addition, the menu links to Google's cached version of the page, and to the Internet Archive versions.
The menu can be accessed from the context menu "Dig", Location bar button, Toolbar button
Re: back menu
thanks for your replies:long time ago buried back/forward buttons in bookmarks toolbar & if that was'nt enough, disabled bar & went full screen!! now rectified.both digger & context history are equally good.now have grown 3 extra toes after having prev shot my foot. will eliminate one or two later. pity the context menu (back) does not have built in options.
Re: back menu
Digger is more a site map sort of, doesn't follow the user's history but allows access upwards from user's position on the site + access to Google Cache and Internet Archive for the page. I use it as a toolbar button right after the Forwards button.
Context History makes as it's name says access to the user's history on the site accessible from within the right-click context menu. I find it really handy. But it is as helloimustbegoing pointed out, only an elaboration of the back-arrow built-in function. Just makes it "closer"

Re: back menu
Click-and-hold on the back/forward buttons for a second also pulls up the menu, FYI - this is especially useful if you're using a touch device.
