Tested in a clean profile, installing and enabling extension disables/hides video controls for videos open directly in the browser (not embedded in HTML). Double-click also doesn't budge. Example video: http://distribution.bbb3d.renderfarming.net/video/mp4/bbb_sunflower_1080p_60fps_normal.mp4
Anyone wants to debug?
