I have seen this as an add-on issue, but fruitless searches have left me empty-handed in a quest for CacheViewer or some functionally equilavent way to access and handle cache in PM8. I'm ready now to think outside the box, so I welcome ANY input for a solution. Have I overlooked something right under my nose

cache viewer for PM8
A PM add-on that I use often is "CacheViewer" but it works just in PM versions as recent as v6. More recent version of PM are not "upgrades" for me, not without some interactive UI that makes it easy to view and to pick and choose cache items that I want to save.

You can handle the cache from outside PM using Mozilla cache viewer by Nir Sofer.
There are many other very specific little utilities on that site, worth bookmarking.
