hyperlinking / linkifying add-ons?

Unread post by The Pale Bride » 2013-09-17, 19:40

Are there are good add-ons / userscripts that can turn text links into hyperlinks? I need the hyperlinking part to work.
I tried a few linkifying add-ons such as:
fastestfox - missed some links and too heavy for just creating hyperlinks.
text link - catches links that other add-ons miss, but it doesn't create hyperlinks.
and userscripts:
linkify/ ting - these seem to stop registering links after a certain amount of characters for some sites

Can't you just select the entire link with your mouse and right click it?

When I do this, I get these related options:

- Open Link
- Open Link in a New Tab
- Open Link in New Private Window
- Bookmark this Link
- Save Link As...
- Send Link...

It even works on txt files (example).

You don't even have to select, you can just right-click anywhere on the clickable link area.

As for a way to make non-links into links, there are several add-ons out there that will do just that.
e.g.: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... kificator/
But there are a lot of others that will do similar :)
