Before I pluck up the courage to update to the latest PM can I ask if MyBookmarks add-on http://www.catsyawn.net/ma2ten/soft/mybookmarks_en.html will still work.
I know it wasn't written for PM but it is my favourite and most useful add-on. I would be (almost) list without it and works dynamically between both versions of PM I have installed

This is not Firefox or Chrome, where they change things on a whim and keep breaking features with every fortnightly update. Can understand if you're coming from there and have seen this happen before. Pale Moon's extension support is mature and stable, and doesn't affect extensions so don't let that hold you back from updating.

Thanks for that. I must admit I parted with Firefox after it was giving me unwanted updates just around the time it said it was discontinuing some add-ons.
I always got the impression they were writing it for themselves not for the user

Nailed it. They started going downhill with version 4 in 2011 - from then the whole copying Chrome started. Updating major versions, copying the look and feel (infamously getting rid of the status bar for a start), culminating in dumping XUL extensions altogether in 2017.
