Finding ABL Filter Rule in Lunar Blocklist that is disabling video on nypost.com website
Specific URL: https://nypost.com/2023/04/07/cash-app- ... -revealed/.
Video gets this error: "This video cannot be played because of a technical error.(Error Code: 102700)".
If I disable the entire ABL add-on Lunar Blocklist the video works --- hence one or more Filter Elements in the Lunar Blocklist filter subscription would appear to be the cause of the error (above). Note: Lunar Blocklist is current (4-7-23) update.
Is there a procedure to track down (and address) just the specific Filter Rule(s) (in Lunar Blocklist) that is/are causing the video error (above) and if so what is that procedure? (of course it's imperative that all irrelevant rules to the issue at hand remain intact in the Lunar Blocklist).
One can open "Blockable items on current page" and there is a list of items as a result of doing this with some (at the top of the list) that include a red "X" - but I have no idea what all this means and/or how to use this (assuming this may be a method to be used).
Obviously (to reiterate), I don't want to remove filters that are not causing the issue with the video thus should not be disabled (removed) from the Lunar Blocklist Filter Subscription (i.e. wouldn't want to be impacting the Lunar Blocklist in a manner that inappropriately degrades the filter subscription).
Thanks in advance.

Looks like it's the /prebid/* rule because they have made video playback dependent on the preroll ad.

Thanks, I'll add that exception rule.

Thanks! - that ABL (custom) filter rule fixed Lunar Blocklist. (it would still be nice to know, in the event there wasn't a fix, what the procedure would be to determine the [unknown] offending filter ).Tomaso wrote: ↑2023-04-07, 20:02EasyList contains the necessary fix:https://github.com/easylist/easylist/bl ... t.txt#L168Code: Select all

You can right-click the ABL icon in your UI and select "Open blockable items".Pallid Planetoid wrote: ↑2023-04-08, 03:09it would still be nice to know, in the event there wasn't a fix, what the procedure would be to determine the [unknown] offending filter
That window will show you all of the items processed and whether they are blocked (red) explicitly allowed (green) or passed because no rule exists (black).
This will also show you the rule in question, and if you hover over the row, it will show you which list(s) contain it.
With the controls on the right you can disable/enable the rules affecting the elements listed, allowing you to test various combinations. This also allows you to quickly make custom rules for things to block, by the way.
