Flash player crashes after new update

A game I play on FB that uses Flash won't load now. Works on Firefox.

What I've noticed is that ever since the update I don't get the pop-up that Flash is not responding, do I want to continue or stop. It just automatically stops.

You may want to try removing Flash and reinstalling Flash player 11.7 which seems to be working a lot better.

Uninstall flash player by following the instructions here: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html

Then grab the installer for Flash Player 11.7 either from Adobe's archived versions page (get the archive for 11.7, unzip it and choose the appropriate installer) or via this direct link and run it. When installing, make sure to select "never notify of updates" to prevent the flash player from updating automatically or nagging you.

I've been having a minor problem (or not so minor, depending on my mood) with Flash for a while (choppy video playback in full-screen mode) so I finally took your long-given advice to revert back to version 11.7.

I noticed on Adobe's archive page that the latest version there is 11.7.700.242, but the version available on your direct download link is 11.7.700.202. Is there anything wrong with 11.7.700.242? Or is it simply a matter that the direct download link needs to be updated? Thanks!

I've had some stability issues myself with .242; 202 seems to work like a charm. Unfortunately, Adobe no longer provides .202 themselves, only .242
So, your choice. Adobe archive .242 or direct link for .202

My biggest concern would be if there was a security issue fixed from 202 to 242. I'm dumb when it comes to version numbering. Can you tell by what numbers change if the update has to do with security? I notice between these two that only the last set of numbers are different; 11.7.700 are the same.

I honestly don't know - Adobe's release notes don't mention .242 anywhere. They mention .223 as latest before recommending to upgrade to 11.8
