Pale Moon forum

i suspected there would be plugins for this. i had my computer/browser running after youtube hid dislike counts.
could still see them until i was forced to shut down during a power outage.

chrome , and firefox have them. is anyone working on one for Pale Moon?

How would a "plugin" be able to offer a server-side feature?

If by "plugins" you mean an extension (read here from "Add-on types" on) ...
No, not to my knowledge.

But there might well be a userscript to do that.

Install Greasemonkey for Pale Moon (userscript manager), then search Greasy Fork.
Eg: https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts?q=youtube+dislike

Google originally just disabled the icon, so it could conceivably be brought back - until they ripped out the entire feature root and branch. There was a Chrome extension being bandied around as a workaround but I doubt whether it or any other hacks will work anymore.

It is extremely unlikely that any currently listed Firefox (web)extension will work on Pale Moon...

He probably means for Firefox. I use this userscript for Youtube, among other things it also makes the UI more compact and offers other customizations. Including bringing back the dislike button.

Well, if a WE can magically restore it, that means it isn't actually removed (yet) from YT, just hidden. in that case any greasemonkey dabbler can probably restore it too with a script.

sorry, yes i mean extension. i managed to install Greasemoney, and some scripts ; Return YouTube DIslike 0.9.0, Coloured Like/Dislike ratio 1.1, Dislike Estimator 1.1, yet another simple Youtube video likes/dislikes ratio display, and YouTube Restor Dislike Counters 1.1.0.

trying/enabling them one at a time none seemed to work. i restarted Pale Moon and had a glimmer of hope using 'Return YouTube DIslike'. i saw a dislke of 186. then i noticed every video had a dislike count of 186. even the one of youtube explaining why they got rid of dislike counts. i know that probably is in the millions. another browser restart, and i'm back to just a thumb icon no count.
