Why do none of the search plugins for Pale Moon install any more? With all the ones I tried, I got an error message.

@Goodydino: Quick fault replication test conducted here...
3 x random search plugins chosen from Pale Moon 'Addons - Search Plugins' page... all loaded correctly.
Conclusion... unidentified local problem?

Re: Search plugins
At a guess, it's for the reason mentioned in this post.
What version of the browser do you use?
Is it an older version of Pale Moon or Basilisk?
Or a spinoff project, such as Mypal or White Star? If so, that would be the reason.
APMO appears to have been modified during the past few months to refuse installing or downloading for unofficial projects, and also for older versions of those browsers that are officially supported.

Correction: too old versions, also official, are not supported.coffeebreak wrote: ↑2021-11-12, 01:21and also for older versions of those browsers that are officially supported.

I am using the latest version of White Star, since I use a Mac. Before I got the latest version of White Star, I was able to get Web Developer's Toolbox and ScriptBlock, but now the button for extensions or themes says "Only on Pale Moon". I guess I have to check for updates manually now? It looks as if I can download the items from github.coffeebreak wrote: ↑2021-11-12, 01:21What version of the browser do you use?

How does the addons site for Pale Moon know what I am using? The user-agent says it is Pale Moon.

Re: Search plugins
That cannot be the reason. I tried faking my user-agent with User Agent Switcher with all the information filled in, to a Linux format, and I still get the "Only on Pale Moon" message.
There must be some way I can find where the add-ons are actually stored. With the themes (except for mine) I found the address in the page source code, but not for all the extensions. I guess that means that no add-ons will be updated from now on from the add-ons list?
