ForecastFox placement

Unread post by NorrinRadd » 2021-05-13, 04:15

It's currently on my status bar at the bottom of the screen, and I'd prefer it on a toolbar at the top of the screen. Is there a way to move it?

View -> Toolbars -> Customize, then drag it to wherever you want while the customize toolbar dialog is open.

That extension is illegal if it is the S3 "fix version" or riiis's shortlived fork because the original is All rights reserved.

First thing I tried. Doesn't work.

Forecastfox uses the classical statusbar panel NOT a moveable toolbar item and AGAIN it is NOT LEGAL for you to use the S3 version or the shortlived mod by riiis and the original is completely busted.

Actually what you want to do is right click on the toolbar itself, click options, then you can move it. I'm using the illegal version and I can confirm it works with it.

Does "having downloaded a pirated game in the past" make it legal for you to use it?

How's that comparable? Say someone had the extension since the time it used to work and gotten through proper channels, and now a target application ID change is all that prevents them from personal use. I am not talking of forking or distribution at all.
A better analogy would be applying a CD crack for a game you already legally bought and paid for because you're sick of having to insert the CD every time you have to play - a common scenario back when Steam didn't exist.

I guess we might be talking about something different here. I was talking about the S3 one or the short-lived mod by riiis, since those were the ones Tobin said were illegal.
And those are definitely "pre-cracked versions you got from pirates"

The original by Accuweather is busted, the S3 version was an illegal fork and the riiis version was an illegal fork of S3 version. There is no functioning legal version of Forecastfox in existance.
