Problem with add-on update server?

Unread post by Goodydino » 2020-06-30, 19:09

Is something wrong with the update server? For the last 2 days if I click "Check for updates" in the add-on window, that message just stays there without changing. It used to say, "No updates available" if none were available. Using Safe Mode makes no difference.

It's working properly for me.
Clicking on "Check for Updates", when there are none, displays "No updates found".

Might be an extension having troubles with the process and thus blocking everything, maybe perhaps.
While we wait for a response by people with better knoweledge, this is something you might consider.

Safe mode disables extensions, so it cannot be that. Besides, that was working fine a few days ago.

Yes it can be that.
Disabled extensions still update normally.

Which extensions are you trying to update? Have you verified that there's a new update for those extensions?

I've had the same problem and many others have.

I bet you use the Classic Add-ons Archive extension.
You have to manually update it once from
https://github.com/JustOff/ca-archive/releases/.

You got it! After updating CAA, the add-ons window is back to normal.
