PermissionsPlus

Post by moonbat » 2020-06-28, 17:34

This is the support thread for my extension, PermissionsPlus. It enhances the page info permissions tab and the about:permissions page with additional permissions. For now it lets you add a site specific user agent override. If a site already has a SSUAO defined, it will be populated in the entry field, else you can type your own. A reset button is provided to reset the UA override to default, or get rid of it if it was manually added.

Was hoping it would :(
I've made a separate homepage for it with screenshots here.

It's published now.

Great add-on @moonbat.
Just installed and have already had to use the UAO function. Made it much easier.
Keep em coming.

At this time of writing, the home page link you posted points to this thread (rather than to here).

Changelog for 2.0
  • Added clipboard access support.
Some sites manipulate the clipboard, for example, appending their URL to any content you copy, or preventing you from copying anything.
If you have Pale Moon Commander, you can control this behavior globally under Tools -> Advanced Preferences -> Security page -> General tab -> 'Allow Javascript to' -> 'Manipulate the clipboard'
Alternately, this is controlled in about:config by dom.event.clipboardevents.enabled
When this preference is true (the default), PermissionsPlus lets you turn it off for individual sites, similar to Chrome. When it is turned off, the Clipboard section will not appear in the Page Info dialog or the Permissions Manager.

Do the features of PermissionsPlus overlap with Sasuga's?

I currently have Sasuga installed. What would be the potential benefits of PermissionsPlus over Sasuga?

Per site clipboard permissions as well as UA override. Mean to add a couple more features as well.

Just provides another (easier?) way to add SSUAO for a website. That's about it.
