I had been most interested to read on this site about the possibility within Pale Moon to change the User Agent Mode in Preferences/Advanced/General/Compatability
I was therefore curious
Would that change alone to Native Mode in Pale Moon be sufficient to cause the Twitter Display to return to it's previous mode
Well, I tried it, and the answer is yes, it is sufficient
This has great advantages as the User Agent Mode setting can be easily altered
Thanks to all

Pale Moon is a great Browser !

Kind regards

I remain a little confused

As mentioned above I have had a beneficial result from using the Native Mode in Pale Moon to resolve the Twitter display problem

And then I note that this seems to contradict the findings on the thread on this link
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=19205

As Moonchild stated in this other thread it would seem that
"Twitter just needs to get their ducks in a row."

I wonder, is the present situation, in fact an improvement in Twitter itself, when previously the Native Mode was causing Pale Moon users to go the mobile display for Twitter ?

With my setup two User Agent Settings in Pale Moon that is:

Gecko Compatibility
and
Native

have the most beneficial effect in allowing one to access the original Twitter display

To be able to change the User Agent Settings from within Preferences in Pale Moon proves a very simple matter

Thank you moonchild for having the foresight to include this excellent option

Twitter will be forcing new design next month
This is the legacy version of twitter.com. We will be shutting it down on June 1, 2020. Please switch to a supported browser, or disable the extension which masks your browser. You can see a list of supported browsers in our Help Center

Websites are always going to be a moving target from now on thanks to their targeting Chrome. Makes it even harder for extensions made for them.

This extension really doesn't do anything anyway except force the old web interface. You can be happy that Twitter has allowed its continued use for as long as it has.

Oh, not much of a loss then. I was thinking it was something fancier like a sidebar to show your Twitter feed or something on those lines.
