DownThemAll has been a great alternative to Internet Download Mananger.

Not long ago on I was on the fence about updating to the current version of Palemoon I use. The Internet Download Manager plug was the hold up. Anyway I let go and since then I have been using DownThemAll to capture videos. I used the addon for years to rip pic posts so it's not new to me. Using it to download videos is something I had not done since about 2011. It's still so easy. Dare I say it's fun.

You might want to be careful aiming for the "fastest" as download managers that do downloads as fast as possible are, usually, very abusive to servers.

That reads as good news. I do notice that the only link IDM ever grabs is the download for the next version of Palemoon. Everything else is always grabbed by Palemoons download manager unless I use downthemall or other means.
