Updated 'I don't care about cookies' 2.9.9 issue
https://addons.palemoon.org/releases/i- ... t-cookies/
Pale Moon 28.4.1 x64
As soon as the addon was updated to 2.9.9, the browser behaved like a crawl.
Slow. Sluggish. Choppy.
One core full load, so 25% CPU usage all the time.
As soon as I downgraded back to 2.9.8 - issue gone immediately.

You should leave comments on the support site linked to on the addon's page on APO, not on Mozilla's site.

This has nothing to do with the Add-ons Site or even Pale Moon.. So I have no idea why you posted here (in the wrong sub-board) or on Mozilla's Add-ons Site about Pale Moon.
You should have followed the support site link back to the developer.. They are the only ones who can resolve an issue with their extension and that is the very reason they added such a link to their listing.

I tested it, same Pale Moon version (downloaded linux tarball), same IDCAC version. Browser CPU usage doesn't change on my side whether I enable or disable the add-on, it's rather pretty high all the time.Gordon Dry wrote:https://addons.palemoon.org/releases/i- ... t-cookies/

Re: Updated 'I don't care about cookies' 2.9.9 issue
I have had the same issue and just spent quite a while enabling and disabling extensions before narrowing it down to this one. I've left it disabled for now.
I'm not sure where I should go to install an older version?
I know this isn't the right place as pointed out by previous posters in the thread, however, the "support site" linked to only allows contact via Facebook, which I do not use. Also, other visitors may appreciate the data point.

Re: Updated 'I don't care about cookies' 2.9.9 issue
I confirm this issue with the version 2.9.9 on Pale Moon 28.4.1 (under Manjaro Linux).
In my case this add-on uses ca 70-80% of CPU (as shown in about:performance ).
After downgrading this add-on to 2.9.8 it works fine again - with 1% CPU usage.
Admins/Moderators: Please move this thread to viewforum.php?f=46

I can confirm this too using Pale Moon 28.4.1 on Ubuntu 18.04 and Windows 10.

i can also confirm problem with 2.9.9 on latest PM x32 and W7 x64. PM becomes slow and unresponsive, for example here http://www.pink.rs
Tested with new profile and only this addon.

No matter what I try, it works fine on my side.
Anyway, I published a new version, 2.9.10 which has the same core files as 2.9.8. Please test it and let me know if it works better now.

Same issue here. Molasses. Thanks for bringing the issue to our attention here, saved me a lot of time in troubleshooting
I know it's not a Pale Moon issue, but hey

Re: Updated 'I don't care about cookies' 2.9.9 issue
I actually ran into the same issue; initially thought it was a browser problem since I didn't realize the extension had updated.
Not sure what you changed in the core files but it hangs up the main thread, and seems to be spawning several "LoadInfo::TriggeringPrincipal" threads that do see activity while CPU usage is high.
I've added 2.9.9 to the extension blocklist because it's pretty much DOSing Pale Moon.

Does this also impact Basilisk or only Pale Moon?

I confirm. With version 2.9.10 there is no issue now. Thanks @idcac
Re: Updated 'I don't care about cookies' 2.9.9 issue
Btw, before someone freaks because blocklist, Moonchild added only the 2.9.9 version specifically. No other version of idcac will match the entry and be affected by the blocklist.
