uBlock Origin - New uAssets filter (legacy.txt)

Important information for us uBO "Legacy" users:

EDIT1:
After a minor hickup (which you can read about in the GitHub report above), uAssets' new "Legacy" filter is now included in uBO v1.16.4.10.
If you upgrade from an older version:

To get the new "uBlock filters -- Legacy" list, you will have to back up your uBO settings (bottom of Settings pane in uBO's dashboard), then restore them.
This will force uBO to discard its internal version of the content of assets.json, which tells uBO where external resources are located.

EDIT2:
gorhill has also issued a silent update for v1.16.4.10 now (Old XPI file = 2,250,597 bytes / New XPI file = 2,250,740 bytes).
The updated build includes a fix for the minor issue (which I reported in the GitHub thread above), regarding an outdated filterlist in uBO Legacy, before updating it for the first time.

These are great news!

Even so the new legacy filter is empty for now, uBO 1.16.4.10, isn't detected anymore on kicker.de and the videos are playing fine.
Also as far as I can see, videos on Tele5.de are now without ads.
So some fixes have been already applied under the hood.

Yeah, "uBlock filters" still contains the necessary "legacy" rules.
gorhill will probably move them to "uBlock filters - Legacy" real soon though.

In regards to the fixes, it's not a question of the sites being able to "detect" uBO or not.
Different methods/rules are simply required for different browsers.

The legacy list did not appear in Pale Moon's uBlock filter list, but it did in that of SeaMonkey. Is that because the list has 0 entries?

It doesn't have 0 entries anymore.
The rules for giga.de, kicker.de, kino.de and spieletipps.de has been added now (although, they will also remain in uBlock filters for a week or so).
For the legacy filter to appear in uBO, follow the instructions in the first post.

I did follow the instructions, with both Pale Moon and SeaMonkey. I got the list to appear in Pale Moon by restoring SeaMonkey's backup. The settings for both are the same anyway.

If anyone else encounters such a problem, you might have to perform a clean install of uBO:

1) Export your personal filters, if you have any ('Dashboard' > 'My filters' > "Export").
2) Remove uBO from Pale Moon ('Add-ons' > 'uBlock Origin' > "Remove").
3) Close Pale Moon.
4) Delete uBO's extension data file (C:\Users\*****\AppData\Roaming\Moonchild Productions\Pale Moon\Profiles\*****.default\extension-data\ublock0.sqlite).
5) Install uBO Legacy v1.16.4.10 (or newer).
6) Import your personal filters, if you exported them in step #1 ('Dashboard' > 'My filters' > "Import and append").

..now uBO's new legacy filter will be included by default.
