The above link you gave is a good example. The video plays fine in Firefox 60.5.2esr.

Bottom line is that legacy uBlock0 gets detected on kicker.de while the WebExtension has filters to escape detection.
There might be other similar sites and their number will probably increase over the time.
Too bad because uBlock0 is for me at least, by far the best legacy blocker in the fields.

I hope you're having this "acceptable" stuff added to the unbreak rule set which I don't use. I don't want any @@ rules at all unless I add them myself. That's what I hate about list based blocking in general - we get a bloated list of sites that is of no use to most of us that know how to unblock sites we want.

HOSTS files are just about the only type of filters that doesn't contain @@ rules, simply because they don't support it.
Without such rules, the amount of breakage would render all adblockers completely useless to 99% of the users base!
