I think the auto-update of the host files is broken.
Can someone check? Just to know if it's actually happening. Sometimes simply using a new installation isn't enough.

It's broken, all are marked as too old. Refreshing doen't change anything

I can also confirm that the auto-update function is broken. I always have to manually update the host files. Even after Basilisk and Palemoon have been open and running for over an hour.

New issue, with a fresh install of Windows 10 Home on a new Ryzen 3 build, eMatrix 4.1.3 hangs and you can't select anything for at least some minutes, when going to bigger websites, pretty much meaning any web site bigger than a message board.

Then if you click to close the eMatrix window and click to open it again, I get just a white box!

The browser is: Pale Moon 28.8.0 x64

No Windows 10 corruption found, no Windows Update error codes or corruption found by SFC.

When that happens, can you check the browser console for any message?

Also apologies for the radio silence, but during the holidays I took a break from this extension (though I did work on some unrelated stuff.)
As we transition back to normality I'll try to implement the hack to get around the CNAME'd domains first thing first.

With nothing in the error console, I clicked the eMatrix button on the upper right and got a blank eMatrix window!

But does anything appear in the console when the popup is blank?
I tried on Youtube like in your screenshot and it works as intended.
Do you use any other extension?

After latest release, extension is not usable anymore as UI popup gets displayed only once. Subsequent clicks on the extension icon do nothing.

Don't know if this will help but my eMatrix version is at 4.1.4 (auto update?) and I do not experience this issue, However I did notice
the pop up eMatrix window when I open it just for a split second is all white, but then immediately shows as it should.

Independently I also found that issue is not as pronounced as my previous post states. Issue exists on my existing profile but on a week old profile I do not experience any issue. So something in my profile may be causing the issue. I think culprit is the Milestone 10 theme I am using.

The extension was updated to address some regressions but it was relatively minor so I didn't advertise the update.
Unfortunately I can't see the white empty popup, so either I have a worse eyesight than you, or you are too fast and open the popup while the matrix is being populated.
I'll check the issue with the docurl variable when I get the chance.

For now, I will use my above proposed patch. With eMatrix v 4.1.4
