Re: Can't access Citibank account
What's that icon in your screenshot, next to the Downloads button?
Is that the source of that "1" popup, indicating that some kind of action has been taken?
Whatever it is, perhaps it prevents Pale Moon from properly communicating with the site.

EDIT:
And speaking of addons..
I see that you're using WOT as well.
Uninstall it!:

Re: Can't access Citibank account
Satrow: The first linked topic "solved" the issue: if I disable uBlock Origin (even though it says it's NOT doing any blocking on the Citi site), I can then access my Citi account. Thanks for taking the time to find it
Of course, that's not really a "workable" solution: I want to keep uBlock origin enabled. When I need to access Citi, I can always use another browser.
-------------
Tomaso: The "1" next to the download button was actually a counter from Encrypted Web, indicating that it was making sure transmission to the Citi site was securely encrypted.

Re: Can't access Citibank account
I can access citi.com without disabling uBO, and I'm using a shitload of filters!
There's a rule in EasyPrivacy which whitelists this script:
..but I can access the site even if I block it.
Perhaps there's a conflict between uBO and EW.
Have you tried disabling EW, instead of uBO?
EW (and other extensions like it) aren't really needed anymore these days, you know.

Re: Can't access Citibank account
Tomaso:
Just to let you know, disabling Encrypted Web did not change anything... I was still unable to access Citi, unless I (also) disabled uBlock. At least, that's what's happening on my 64-bit Win7 system.
But when I tried the same experiment on my 32-bit Win8.1 system, I was unable to access Citi, even with uBlock disabled! Go figure...
To clarify: I *can* get to the Citi homepage [i.e., even with uBlock enabled]. The error occurs only when I enter my UserID and PW, and attempt to logon to my account there.
I thank you and Satrow for your assistance in this matter, but --- realizing all the potential interactions/conflicts among add-ons and security programs --- I don't intend to pursue the issue any further. I will simply disable uBlock (temporarily) in PaleMoon --- or more likely, use another browser --- to access my Citi account.

Re: Can't access Citibank account
I have the exact same problem under both PM 27 and PM 28. Unfortunately, disabling UBO does not fix it. I created a new profile with no extensions, and I still get the same problem there. I am running the latest version of Windows 10. I have read the various referenced threads, and I am mystified at how Citibank can be working in varying capacities for other people.ky331 wrote:PaleMoon 28, Windows7x64

Citibank works fine for me in Edge, FF, IE11, and Chrome, which are all the browsers I have installed.
Re: Can't access Citibank account
To correct a typo, I also have IE 11 (not 8) on my Win7 system.
(I accidentally hit the "topic solved" button when trying to edit my earlier post... if a moderator sees this, feel free to remove the solved check-mark.)
