I found this tutorial by JustOff which details how to remove the ugly black header from GitHub. It is over a year old, but I thought I would try it, and I discovered that it doesn't work on my configuration[*]. The thread is locked now, but I wonder if the extension author or anyone who uses this extension has a filter that will remove the ugly black header from GitHub.

At the moment my userContent.css contains this style to return a light header + .dashboard-sidebar { float: right !important; } to return the order of columns.
