Problem using Forecastfox with uBlock Origin

Unread post by VLMin » 2018-05-24, 12:16

PM PM 27.9.2

The Forecastfox extension uses accuweather.com, which in turn attempts to publish a massive load of ads and such. When advertising is not allowed, accuweather displays the requested page momentarily, then blanks it on-screen. Has anyone found a way to use Forecastfox while running uBlock (or another ad blocker)? Or, what is a preferred alternative to Forecastfox/accuweather?

Thank you!

Well, thank you both. I am getting a page that says, in part:

You are seeing this page because ads cannot be shown

Ads allow us to pay the content creators of this site.
Why is this happening?

One of your browser extensions is blocking ads or scripts

Sure sounds like an ad blocker. Will continue to explore.

Have a great day!

EDIT: This worked fine until I upgraded to the most recent PM release. Perhaps some little bit of code was changed and is causing the problem.
