Greasemonkey not working?

Post by depro » 2011-10-10, 15:34

Hi there.

After installing the latest Pale Moon I was trying to install Greasemonkey but it seems it is not compatible. I checked the revision log ant it says that Greasemonkey was compatible some versions ago...

I just installed Greasemonkey 0.9.11 (latest version) without any issues...

Thanks, but I cannot install any add-on. just tries a recommended one by Pale Moon (Trashmail) and nothing. Error message pops-up and my error console is full of messages (I don't know how to paste it here)

Ah, that's not Greasemonkey specific then - looks like something may have gone wrong with your extension info in your profile.

Try this:
  1. Go to your profile folder (help -> troubleshooting information -> "open containing folder")
  2. Keep the explorer window open and completely close Pale Moon (File -> Exit or Pale Moon button -> Exit)
  3. Wait a few seconds for delayed writes and file lock releases to be completed
  4. Find the following files and delete them:
    • extensions.ini
    • extensions.cache
    • extensions.rdf
    • extensions.sqlite
    • extensions.sqlite-journal (if found)
