Print to pdf on 64 bit Pale Moon?

Unread post by pavik » 2018-05-11, 22:00

Is there any extension that will allow me to print a web page to pdf on Pale Moon 64 bit? The extension offered on the Pale Moon add-ons website only work for 32 bit version, apparently.

Sadly, and to my great dissmay, no...
It took a bit of work to get the Add on author to just make it work with PM26
and after that, he fell off the radar.
Release Information
Version 0.5.0.2.1
Updated on March 25, 2016

Compatibility

Pale Moon 25.0 to 26.*
In fact, if there is someone that can remove that add on from the add on site
it should be done as we are so far past PM 26.

To get past this I turned to a Operating system level Print to PDF called Bullzip.
It's free and works flawlessly but requires some settings when first run.

I wrote a thread about this here called "I have found a new PDF Friend"
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=12302&hilit=bullzip

Also, if you want a seamless print from PM to PDF you can follow these instructions.
Something like Seamless Print?
viewtopic.php?f=46&t=17156&hilit=bullzip

Between these two, I click print on PM and a couple of seconds later it pops up a PDF
in my default PDF reader.

I also use "pdfit 1.15.1-signed.1-signed" https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/down ... on-history
for a back up in case you get a stubborn page that does not render properly in print mode from PM.
But it is not my favorite and I only use it if I have to.

Hope that helps you out. ;) Oh, and welcome to PM.

I have been using "Print pages to PDF 0.5.0.2.1" since PM 25x with no problems (the original). I see no reason it wouldn't work on PM 64bit. Some people had problems with 26x but I didn't. It has been abandoned and pulled from AMO but you can try the one listed below. I installed it and it does work. Add the button "PDFize from customize dialog.

After further testing of "PrintPDF" I found that it doesn't work correctly. It doesn't save links, scroll boxes, and maybe even more. Sorry I suggested it,

If you do File > Print.. (or Ctrl+P) there's an option to print to file.
However, I don't know if that is available on every system or just on Linux.

I usually use a separate tool called cutepdf for this.

It's a virtual printer driver that renders the print output to PDF instead of passing it to a physical device.
