Did anybody have any luck to:
a) find palemoon fork of this extension;
b) build extension from the source.
I didn't find any forks, so I've tried to build it from the source. On a good side - it functions, as far as I can see. But there is a visual problem - button icon disappears and it shows just label Object object instead, yet clickable and working. Maybe something else is broken, but I haven't found it yet.
Though, it may be my fault if I built it in a wrong way somehow (since I didn't find any instructions or conventional build files).

The only version that works without glitches is 1.3.2, that too requires a patch from calibrations for full function in Pale Moon.
I guess you are using following build command, which is fine:

Me to using uMatrix ver 1.3.2 build from source, without any patches (comment out one line)
I also tried all the other versions 1.3.4, 1.36,1.37. seems they all work fine(comment out one line), except one error with icon
who knows how to fix this in latest builds

Re: latest uMatrix
uMatrix 1.1.4 seems to work for me (no patch).
Re: latest uMatrix
I'm using 1.0.0 which seems to work fine and is perfectly stable
Re: latest uMatrix
Well, 1.1.4 and 1.0.0 are lacking new features and wont be updated ever, so, in my opinion, desire to make new versions work should be understandable.
By the way, I have noticed that there is no UA spoofer in new version. Is it fine and it should be like that from now on? If yes, can someone suggest a replacement with similar features?
