Copy links

Unread post by PalleP » 2018-04-05, 18:20

I have used "Copy links" for many years, and find it very useful. htt**://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/copy-links/
Links are very often hidden behind a piece of text, so it is impossible to copy several links without right clicking every single one and then use copy link.
This cutie can copy selected links just by sweeping them blue and press "copy selected links".
If the links are spread all over a page and therefore can't be sweeped, I have used "copy all" and thereafter made a little tidy up. Still much faster than the right click methode.
Well, the extension has not been updated in the last 10 years and is marked red by PM.
So I searched in PM extensions and found nothing similar. Am I the only one with interest in such a tool?
Maybe someone would be nice and port it over to PM, if others are also interested in such a tool.
I image it should not be a problem since it works in PM, but runs in Firefox comp. mode.

I've used this extension since forever & love it.

That said, v0.1.7.1 still works perfectly with Pale Moon. It's built to work with Firefox max version 56.*, so it even works fine with Basilisk.

Wow, then we are at least 2 who uses this nice tool.
But how can it be build to work with FF 56 when the developer has not done anything in the past 10 years?
And yes, it works perfect apart from the red dot in the add-ons manager.
I hope it continues to work and will still be available for new installations, since I haven't found an alternative.

Why did you use 2 asterisks after htt? An asterisk can stand for any number of characters, including 0.

My guess would be that the author originally gave it a max version of * (equivalent to infinity), but because it's a 'classic' XUL extension, not a WebExtension, Mozilla or their add-ons site changed it to 56.* because only WebExtensions are supported starting with Firefox 57.

Maybe a Link Bookmarklet will meet your needs.

'Search Links' (with no parameter) will list all links.

There is another bookmarklet from here: http://www.worldtimzone.com/bookmarklets/ with a bookmarklet "List all links", which I find helpful. It does pop up a new window, though.
