Tab Utilities Phoenix / v.28 bookmarks toolbar issue?

Using the excellent Tab Utilities Phoenix for quite some time with no issues. Just discovered that when selecting the "Reload tab every x minutes" function, the tab (and the rest of them in that tab bar) becomes much larger.

This happens when the mouse pointer is moved away from the tab. While on the tab, it displays normally (without the extra clock icon added by the Reload function). Tested will all other extensions disabled and the default theme. I haven't seen this on v.27 but can't be sure what causes it.
