"I recently watched on how Chrome browser improved its performance by speeding up their DNS lookups. I wanted to do the same for Firefox and hence this add-on"

tried the extension(in short bursts) & seemed ok but have removed after reading dns prefetching posts this site dated 17dec2011,9jan2012,etc.if any policy has changed please advise.

DNS prefetching is built in to any later version of the mozilla code. But, actually, it is purposefully disabled in Pale Moon as it does not speed up browsing. DNS lookups are of minimal consequence as far as load times of pages go, unless you keep stupidly short retention times for DNS lookups and need to look up every host with every page load, and a lot of subdomains are involved...
Pale Moon already uses a larger DNS cache with longer retention time than Firefox, further negating the need for prefetching. Prefetching DNS lookups causes a lot of unnecessary traffic, in fact, since you don't need to look up addresses for hosts you're not going to visit ayway.
