Firemacs Compatibility

Unread post by PinkCathodeCat » 2017-12-15, 07:47

Firemacs (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... /firemacs/) installs, but doesn't work--even when enabled from the bottom right hand corner. Happy to help debug this, but I'm really not sure where to start. I've tried the most up to date version and the version from Feb. 27, 2013.

As an example, C-b should go back a tab and not open the boomarks sidebar. And C-v should go down the page.

I'm really impressed with Pale Moon overall, but my fingers are alas tuned to Emacs forever.

The Firemacs chrome.manifest file includes the Firefox GUID, but not the Pale Moon GUID. To fix, delete the following from Firemacs' chrome.manifest file:
application={ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384}
Alternatively, first download Firemacs. Then, install Moon Tester Tool. Open Moon Tester Tool options in Add-ons Manager. Then use Moon Tester Tool to install the downloaded Firemacs xpi file.

Thank you, the latter option worked perfectly.
