@JustOff. Thank you for the update. Fantastic! :D

Just one thing though. One of my favorite beloved extensions is Roomy Bookmarks Toolbar. So when I went to get the latest xpi from the site I could not get it. The message said: Roomy Bookmarks Toolbar could not be installed because it is not compatible with Pale Moon 27.6.2 Bummer. The one version 1.4.14 I've got still works perfectly though.

Is it not obvious you have to start a new topic in Themes?

Was there a security change recently? I just installed the latest version of the addon, and turned Addon Security to "none", but Pale Moon still won't let me install directly using the "install" buttons in the archive. Error message is "This addon could not be downloaded because its origin could not be verified." I can't tell from the wording if that is a signing problem or if the original source link has died. For specificity, I am trying to download "Element Hiding Helper for Adblock Plus", version 1.3.2.1-signed. Downloading and installing worked fine.

I can install that build of Element Hiding Helper for Adblock Plus directly through CAA.

Addon security level: Medium.

PM 27.9.3 on Win7 64bit.

I presume you mean Firefox themes. The extension "Theme Compatibility Proveider" on the Pale Moon extensions site makes it possible to install a Firefox theme, which will be partially functional. Some of the toolbar buttons that come with Pale Moon will not work properly, however.

I just tried using the extension "Classic Add-ons Archive", but I am unable to get into the catalog. Where is it? I tried a couple of categories and also tried list by name, but that does not load any catalog. If I try searching, what I type into the search box just gets wiped out immediately.

I had massive problems trying to find the button itself which would take you to the Archive, & never have on my particular profile that I used, but then I installed it on another browser (WaterFox) within a basic profile (out of the box...very few other add-ons) & found out that once installed the button appeared, but most importantly, I found out where the button takes you when pressed, the Archive itself, & with this information I can now use CAA on either browser.....PaleMoon or WaterFox......they both use the same link (below). ;)

It takes you to:

Code: Select all

 caa:list/bookmarks
Now with CAA installed, just copying & pasting this:

Code: Select all

 caa:list/bookmarks
into your address bar, & entering it, should get you there.....to the CAArchive (it always does for me....I'm using PM v28.1.0 both installed & portable)

You might even make a bookmark of the location it opens.....it shouldn't be difficult, provided you can open the archive itself in a tab, you need to just bookmark that tab, & use the newly generated bookmark to get to the CAA whenever you wish. ;)

Then.......The next challenge for me myself was to make/use a button other than the one that comes with CAA to open CAA.

Fortunately, I use the Custom Buttons extension so this was easy because I already had buttons -- one menu button that opens a menu of both links & apps -- & another that just opens opened links. Inserting the code link into either works perfectly.

If interested in custom buttons (the extension) check out the Custom Buttons Forum regarding it's use, & all the many buttons you can either make, or the friendly people there might help you. I have difficulties in doing so myself, without getting into it here, because I no longer have the 'memory' skills I had years ago.

Hope this helps......remember, persistence is the key.....never give up!

 Due to the fact that yesterday Mozilla has finally removed all non-WebExtensions add-ons from AMO, I want to draw your attention that Classic Add-ons Archive now uses independent cloud storage, kindly provided by Waterfox Project, so all the content still remains available online.

A great extension, JustOff.
Many thanks for creating it!

I've been wondering though; why on earth hasn't it been listed @ addons.palemoon.org/extensions yet!??
IMO, it should by pinned at the top there!!

A web extension in CAA list

I found this extension listed in the Classic Add-ons Archive
New Tab Override (WebExtension) 6.0.1
caa:addon/new-tab-override
by " Sören Hentzschel"
Works with Firefox 45.0a1 - 56.*
In Version Information (panel) at the bottom of the CAA page
- link to "Version 6.0.1"
- opens new tab "Sorry, no matching add-on found"

I dont use any new-tab extensions, but I am curious as how/why NTO is listed as a web extension
There are no legacy NOTs available from the CAA web-page
Off-topic:
I tried to find an appropriate forum here on PMoon and JustOffs's Github page is beyond my expertise

Thanks for the report, this issue will be fixed in the next version.
I am curious as how/why NTO is listed as a web extension
In fact, CAA lists only XUL versions of this extension, despite the author changed its name when releasing versions using WebExtensions.
I found several similar add-ons and I will rename them back.
