Available addon updates which doesn't appear in addons.mozilla.org

Unread post by dapgo » 2017-10-19, 12:18

Lately from browser addons I see available updates, but i cannot find them from the webpage.

For example, OPIE 10.0 (10/8/2017), but from addons.mozilla.org i cannot see this addon version and the last version seem to be from 2016.

This has to do with Firefox's changeover in add-on technology. They've abandoned full add-on technology (XUL/XPCOM, bootstrap, JetPack/SDK) for deficient "WebExtensions" (Chrome-like add-ons).

Visit this post here for some useful links which I hope will explain what is happening: viewtopic.php?f=46&t=17061&p=124942#p124942

The link JustOff provided above takes you to the Pale Moon Add-ons Site. Luckily, many developers are switching over to our site. ;)

IMO, if Palemoon Add-ons Manager can check for updates in palemoon addon repository, it would be good to display that the source is Palemoon Repository instead of AMO.

Moreover, I know that the Firefox addon manager doesn't offer a link to addon page but a link to home page ( and this URL can be chosen by developer)
But it would be great if Palemoon could add a link to AMO or Palemoon addon page, many times when i see a new update, I like to read opinions, etc...then i have to find the page manually)
