As the author of this add-on, I receive every notification from this topic in order to provide quality support. Is it really so difficult to simply fulfill the request not to create extraneous noise? :problem:

JustOff, would you be able/willing to make uBlock Origin Updater compatible with Basilisk, since the next version of Basilisk is going to disable WebExtensions? I just tried installing your updater from APO with the new Basilisk beta and it said it was not compatible. Thanks in advance.

From https://addons.palemoon.org/addon/ublock0-updater/:
  • A version compatible with other browsers can be installed from there.
UPD: It seems that upcoming Basilisk release will use addons.basilisk-browser.org for the updates, so uB0-updater need to be updated to catch this. I'll try to do it ASAP.

UPD2: Resolved by uB0-updater 1.6.7.

If the targetApplication are there.. then you don't NEED to go to github for the XPI.. Unlike AMO, our Add-ons Sites don't actually pull that download restriction like "Only for Firefox" bs.

ALSO, if the targetApplication is there it will be picked up automagically for the upcoming Basilisk Add-ons Site.

It is not there and this is on purpose. There are some nuances I must first check when Phoebas 2.0 will be released. I'll not distract you until then.

Please distract me now.. I really don't want to work on Phoebus for a long while after I get these final tasks done.

Thanks again for adding support for FossaMail one year back. Since we've moved to Interlink now... v.1.6.7 installs fine, but I'm not sure it works. I've often noted uBO staying behind in Interlink. Just installed uBO 1.6.4.10 and checked for updates, and it is not being updated to 1.6.4.11.

That reminds me.. I need to add Gorhill's garbage to the blocklist of any BinOC Application. Level 3.

What does an adblocker even do in an email client? JS in messages has been disabled in Thunderbird since version 3 - I presume it's the same in Interlink?

Sorry, but given the intentions voiced by Tobin above, adding Interlink support to uB0 Updater obviously becomes meaningless.

I haven't made a final decision yet.

Well, then here is the beta with Interlink support, which can be released if the restrictions are not applied.

Well, as I recently announced, uBlock Origin Updater has become obsolete and will uninstall itself when uBlock Origin version 1.16.4.17 or higher is detected.

It worked well with most of my machines but caused a problem with one installation:

In this case uBlock Origin Updater did not uninstall and is still here in version 1.70 "last updated Sat Feb 15, 2020".
After a restart of Pale Moon it shows my startpage in a tab, although "always show the tab bar" is deactivated. – There is no other tab visible. But when I try to close Pale Moon, it warns me whether I want to close 2 tabs.
Only in tab list I see that the invisible tab is the github.com/JustOff-message-page. It is shown blank an I can close it in the tab list.

Obviously on that machine uBlock and uBlock Origin Updater were updated at the same time. I think this causes that issue.

I'm sorry this caused you a problem, but I'm afraid that I have no idea how to help.

This is unlikely, I tested such a scenario. I rather suspect a conflict with some third-party add-on, most probably related to tabs.
