Adblock Latitude block more than Adblock Plus? [solved]

Hello,

I have problem on http://www.speedtest.net , where the flash player for testing internet speed not load when I enable Adblock Latitude. But in Firefox with Adblock Plus this player loads perfectly.

Which version of PM and ABL are you using ?
I´m using PM 27.1.1 64-bit and ABL 4.1, and i have no problem on speedtest.net.
It worked normally also with ABL 4, which i used until testerday when i upgraded.

And it also worked normally with PM 27.1.0 and ABL 4.

In Palemoon 26.5.0 speedtest works too (with ABL 3.5.0b3 ) , so this problem is in the PM 27.1.1 or ABL 4.0.1 .

Are you blocking scripts with something like NoScript? Scripts must be allowed for it to work.

I don't understand

For me is no difference. If not working with flash player, then works with html5.
In my case both works flawlessly...to be fair with you...uBo+uMatrix here...and Decentraleyes.

I make the test with and without uBlock Origin.
Both works with the flash test in PM 27.1.1 x64

I am using clear ABL without any my blocking scripts.

Hm, now speedtest.net works for me too. I don't know where was the problem. Maybe in Czech Easylist filters for my country in Adblock.

OK, it worked for a while and now I have this problem again . In only PM 27.1.1 with ABL 4.0.1 player not show. I try type on Czech Easylist for more information.

Do you happen to use Fanboy's Annoyances filter? I believe that one is responsible for blocking stuff that shouldn't be blocked if you're on PM27/ABL4. I never had any problems with PM26/ABL3.

I use PM 27.1.1 / ABL 4.01 with EasyList, Fanboy's Annoyance List and several others. Speedtest.net works fine for me, flash and html5 versions both.

Out of curiosity, how's Twitter working for you? Ever since I updated ABL to v4, Fanboy's annoyances block the tweet button. That didn't happen with v3, and it doesn't happen in FF/ABP with identical filters installed.

I just reproduced your issue by disabling this filter in EasyList:

Would you please check whether you have it present and enabled? If it's missing or deactivated, see if adding/enabling it helps.

If I disabling them speedtest (I tried disable all things about speedtest.net in ABL filters) still not working . I think, that this problem is in the Czech EasyList (blocking some Czech ad) , but they not answer me yet.

Btw. I have problem with cross to close Cookie table http://s20.postimg.org/c7wv177fx/screenshot_321.png , it doesn't work to click on it (when ABL blocking the player) . So this problem is in some javascript too.

Speedtest doesn't serve me that cookie notice even with ABL disabled, so I can't compare experience with you. It must be geo-determined.

Is it possible that you have some custom blocking filter that interferes with Speedtest's scripts? Or something else in your profile that interferes? Just to rule such things out, you could try a fresh profile (out-of-box settings, no extensions but ABL with EasyList).

Seems to work ok for me on 26.5 using NoScript, Ublock, Disconnect, and ABL
I only had to allow the one script http://www.speedtest.net in NoScript.
