Thank you for the lead. I will keep it in mind.

You add it to your bookmark bar and it works like a champ.
Thank you very much for this also, I actually like Pocket and when I noticed I didn't have it in Pale Moon I started to frown and immediately did a forum search about it, and well...

you had me at, "Pocket has a bookmarklet..." !

Thanks again.

The solution from hb5574 to seems to work well enough. Not as slick as the old way, but better than nothing. Thank you.

Have a look at http://www.pauby.com/blog/resources/ - there is a version of Pocket addon on there that works well with PM.

Went to the link. Translated it to English. Looks promising but not too clear what to download and install. Betting this is the best solution, but not sure how to employ it. Maybe I am just dense. Thank you for this post.

I assume you meant you went to the webpage after clicking the "Pocket Addon" link which takes you to a website in German text.

I too went to translate that page using my "Google Translator for Firefox" addon and it tells me "The page you have attempted to translate is already in English." LOL Uhhm, no it's not in English, it's in German! Oh well. Not a great translator addon obviously. So I went to https://www.bing.com/translator and entered the url since that was an option instead of entering plain text and well, that did nothing.

*sighs Guess I need to enter snippets of text and translate it slowly that way or just right-click sections of it at a time and translate that way via that Google Translator addon. Which I did.

Right now I use that bookmarklet to add pages to Pocket via Pale Moon and it works almost instantly without issue, but I bookmarked that German page in case I'll need an actual addon in the future.

the page translated well with Chrome. Still, I am confused as to what exactly to get and how to install it. Guess I am just dense. I have installed Chrome extensions .. from Web store and from otherwise using Developer Mode ... but can't seem to figure out what is being offered.

On that site with German text, at the very top of the page under the header image is a blue button to download and I presume install the Pocket addon. As for me, I'll continue to use that bookmarklet for now since it's very fast. Between that bookmarklet and a bookmark for the Pocket list that's all I need.

Here's the bookmark I have to access my Pocket reading list (the list of everything I saved to Pocket) - https://getpocket.com/a/queue/list/

Thank you. Will use that d/l button at the website ... when I reinstall Pale Moon. During all this pocket stuff, I have uninstalled PM for now. Thank you again.

Unfortunately I can not download, it redirects me to the download page of the latest Firefox.

I can confirm, that download link takes you through three pages to a FF download link. No direct Pocket download.

Rummaged around and found the files for my copy of Pocket and re-xpi-ed it. Haven't tested a proper reinstall, so caveat downloader (if I flubbed something do let me know, I muck about in add-on files maybe once a year if that), but going through the initial steps of installing an add-on from a file went as it should. Still works fine on my end, though I haven't tried poking relics like the Google Reader integration (stupid Google).

Pocket (3.0.6.1-signed)

(Tad of a necro I apologize, but this seemed the best thread I found while I was trying to figure something out relating to Pocket so...)
Thanks for seven years of browsing but too many sites I need don't work in PM these days and while yes fight the good fight against browser monoculture I just don't feel *comfortable* posting on these forums anymore...

I wonder since when self hosted addons on suspicious sites are allowed.

Below xpi installs fine in PM , in Basilisk, it shows a restart popup which after losing the focus i couln't find again....
Anyway, this old addon on PM or Basilisk seems to use a different server and account than the login function included in Quantum
Even login pages are different

from xpi extension
https://getpocket.com/login?e=24
from quantum
https://getpocket.com/login/?ep=1

Thx for link.
It would be nice if the extension you submitted was added to the official palemoon extensions.
