We need your help!
Operating the Pale Moon servers, sites, domains, and getting certificates, code signing and more isn't free (or cheap).
Unfortunately there has been a pretty sharp downward trend in what DuckDuckGo's search partnership provides to the project, so now more than ever, we rely heavily on your generous contributions and donations.

If you find Pale Moon in any way useful, please consider one or more of the following options to help out:
  1. Donating to the project directly through PayPal or Ko-fi.
  2. Purchasing challenge coins.
  3. Setting your search engine to the included DuckDuckGo and disabling your ad blocker on the DuckDuckGo domain (so they can show sponsored results).

Doing so will go a long way to make sure we can stay afloat and independent! In addition, Moonchild would still like to pay rent and eat ;)

Master Password: bug or compat pb with PM

Unread post by mzoro » 2023-11-12, 15:06

This addon makes the following annoying effect:

If PM is minimized, then after clicking to open it, the window first opens in the (last set) medium size, then quickly switch to its maximized size (if the last use of the browser was in maximized window). This create a kind of very annoying blinking effect.

To reproduce the bug: install Master password add, set the window height and width of PM to half the screen size (say), then maximize PM' s window to full screen with the dedicated top-right button, then minimize the window with the dedicated top-right button, then click on PM tab to reopen the window and observe the effect.

Do you have the option turned on to lock the browser on minimize? That sometimes takes a while to repaint the UI.

Auto-lock, on the extension's options, lock tab.

autolock is not enabled.
What do you suggest, that I enable it ?
I tried and this does not change anything.

No idea, maybe something with your video driver? Try toggling hardware acceleration under advanced preferences.
