Audio indicator icon doesn't appear in tab when Tab Mix Plus is enabled

Hi all,

28.3's new built-in audio indicator in the tabs doesn't appear if I enable Tab Mix Plus (0.5.5.0). I've replicated this in an otherwise blank profile. I'm using Windows 10.

Any idea how to get this fixed?

Not your fault; thinking it was a bug I posted this in Bug reports (Windows) first.
As it turned out to be related to TabMixPlus, JustOff already reported this to the TMP developer and requested a fix.

Just where exactly is this audio indicator supposed to be? Is it supposed to be visible for selected or unselected tabs or both? Is it visible for videos that have audio? I have not seen any such indicator with any theme, including the default theme when I had a video playing in one tab. Does the fact that I am using MacOS make any difference?

Immediately to the left of the "X" that closes the tab.

Good question. I'm not sure about that. Take a peek at about:config and verify you have browser.tabs.showAudioPlayingIcon set to true.

EDIT: Dumb question: you are on 28.3.0, right? I don't remember seeing a note in the Mac forum that a 28.3.0 build was made available.

I am still using 28.2.2 because that is the latest version for MacOS as far as I know. So this indicator is available only for version 28.3? The themes that were updated have that image available, so I thought that it would appear.

Yes, this was introduced in Pale Moon 28.3.0.

In the meantime, you can check out the excellent alternative Tab Utilities Phoenix (audio icon appears normally).

thanks to onemen, developer of Tab Mix Plus, the issue has been fixed in TMP 0.5.6.0
