Complete Youtube Saver don't responding when downloading Youtube videos

Anytime I try to open the download menu of CYS, in order to download the Youtube video I'm watching, or to convert it to MP3 in the case of a music video, CYS don't respoding:


How to solve this problem?

The extension is broken by changes in YouTube.
The developers of CYS are rewriting it. Until they finish it's unsupported, see announcements here and here.

This has been discussed before, try a forum search: complete youtube saver; in particular see here for suggestions of another version (5.7.31)/other downloaders.

I've already read in the home page of CYS about the rewriting of the extension, but didn't connected between all of these things (The new user interface of Youtube [Which Pale Moon allow to use the older one], the rewriting of the extension and my problem with it).
Version 5.7.31 is an earlier version than 5.7.36.1. How It can solve the problem than.
As I uses CYS also to download music videos as MP3 (Alternative to "Youtube to MP3" websites), I don't know about other extensions that can do this.

YouTube has been making changes steadily under the hood to their "old interface".
And since the CYS developers are off the board for now, there's nobody to update this extension to keep pace with YouTube.

The browser project does not maintain/fix/update extensions, that's the province of the extensions' developers.
(And in the case of CYS this is doubly true, because CYS is not open source.)

I don't have an answer to what else you might use. I just tried v5.7.31 that someone else advised, and found it not working.
Can only suggest that you search the forum - people have posted various thoughts on what they like to use.

This extension, when it works, is for Youtube only. And there is no alternative add-on for Pale Moon at the moment.
You can try an external software: JDownloader working with all systems (windows, linux, mac) and on many websites.

That is not entirely true, some time ago I was able to install UnPlug with Moon Tester Tool and until now it seems that can still detect and download Youtube videos.

And another good alternative from AMO: Ant Video Downloader, working on YT and many other sites.
This (older) version 2.4.7.50 works under Pale Moon.
