Tangerinemoon: browser.urlbar.rss set to false but still see icon Topic is solved

I have browser.urlbar.rss set to false in about:config, yet I still see the orange icon. Isn't setting this to false supposed to remove it from the address bar?

It removes the icon if set to false, on my end at least.

I still see it, unless I've misidentified icons. The orange icon below, that's the rss feed icon, right? In case themes has any relevance to this, I'm using the theme Tangerinemoon + the persona "Pale Moon."

Yes, it's the orange icon.

I disabled the persona, and reverted back to the default theme, and the rss icon goes away as it should. (Re-enabling the persona while still using the default theme doesn't cause the rss button to appear, so it's just a theme issue.)

Tested the theme Fox 2 The Moon and the rss icon doesn't show up; so it appears to be a problem only with the theme Tangerinemoon.

Moderators: can/should this be moved to the "Themes" section of the forum? Or should I just created a new thread?

This is a separate implementation from the one in Pale Moon itself inherited from when I forked it. I'd actually kept this intentionally instead of Pale Moon's but I can't honestly remember why. I guess more for historical purposes since it's one of few examples of XBL in a theme (and XBL in general...). I likely forgot there was a pref in Pale Moon to disable the built-in one.

I'll push out an update soon though, there's not really much reason to keep it around.

What setting within Tangerinemoon sets that? If I knew that, I could switch it myself.

The v2.4.2 update I just pushed out should solve this. I've also edited my previous post to link to where the XBL was used before, in case anybody needs that in future.
