Darkpitch 1.9.0 - where are padlocks?

Unread post by Goodydino » 2018-09-05, 04:35

I am having trouble seeing the padlock images in Darkpitch 1.9.0. Where are the padlock images that are used now? The method used in V. 1.8.0 no longer works. If I could modify the images, I might be able to see them! Is there any way to override them?

If identity-icons-https.png, etc. are not used, why are they in the .xpi file?

It uses the padlocks included in the browser. Those icons you mentioned are unused and I should probably remove them at some point.

Those included padlocks do not work for me, since I can hardly see them. I put padlock.css and its images back and used browser.css from Darkpitch 1.8.0 after fixing the syntax. I had changed those images to give them opaque light backgrounds to make them easy to see.

Incidentally, why would you put dark green or dark blue text on a black background in the identity box? There was no way I could read that. I suppose I could have made the backgrounds of the identity boxes pale, but I did not take that route.

I may tweak the text colour at some point, but the general styling will be the same. Using a light background there looked inconsistent and wrong for that theme.
