How to save old Pale Moon personas?

Sorry if this has been asked already. How can the old lightweight Pale Moon themes found here be saved locally? They won't download as an .xpi file.

They aren't xpi files, they are toolbar backgrounds, not actually themes.

You can't really save them "offline".

Have a look at the source for the page you linked. It's a bit of javascript that directly modifies the persona of your theme. Here are the images it references.

You can change Personas using this chrome address. In Firefox, there's an option in the Tools menu but not in PM.

The URL to change it is chrome://personas/content/customPersonaEditor.xul However the Personas Plus add-on
must be installed. You can save it in your bookmarks tab. Not sure if there are other ways to do this.

To change, save, backup, edit ... a lightweight theme (aka Persona) I use 2 add-ons:

Personas Plus (needed) with > Custom Personas enabled in its options.

and the Lightweight Themes Manager:

It allows you to load a local header and footer jpg image, set text and accent colors and save this customized theme as a .json file (which keeps the .jpg locations, not the images)

With LWTM it is also possible to find and save the two image files of an AMO-theme.
In >Options open the LW Theme Manager window in a tab, in the upper right options-burger select developer mode, choose the AMO theme, click its JSON button.

In that window find header and footer links, c+p in new tabs and save the images.

You can move them to their own folder now and in LWTM make them load as custom persona. Don't forget to set the correct text and accent colors as seen in the JSON window!

Am new here.
Will Pale Moon have something similar to Personas Plus made specifically for Pale Moon if Mozilla does remove that?

Can't say if there will be some kind of replacement in that case, but Personas Plus seemed always like MozCos own baby to me and from my actual assumption I guess they will not throw it away so easily. But who knows.
Just save the Personas Plus .xpi file that works for you and you'll be safe for the near future.

Personas Plus doesn't seem to work well with Pale Moon anyway though. I think it should be forked since it's wonderful and would be a great thing for Pale Moon to have.
