Worthy side discussion from Compatiblity Thread
This is an update to my post in the original thread.
Name: Personas Rotator
Type: Extension
Issue & cause: Dependent on Personas Plus
Workaround: none that are give the same automatically functionality
AMO: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/personas-rotator/
I contacted the author, and he did update the extension to support the change of Pale Moon's GUID. However it's dependent on Personas Plus, and changing its' ID breaks this extension. Until a forked version of Personas Plus with a new extension ID is available, he isn't going to be able to add complete support for Pale Moon.

It is better than TDC and fully functional in PM 25.

Re: Compatibility Reports for v25
Since I can't edit my post again in the previous thread, re-posting with an update... The add-on is actually semi-functional, it's just having icon issues. I've been paying attention at the right time a few times now to see its little alert pop-up show when it notices I've gotten new mail (also visible when loading the program).Veyska wrote:Name: X-notifier lite (for Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo)

Edit - Fiddling around with something entirely unrelated and noticed a stray icon-less button in the right end of the navigation toolbar, which appears to tired to this add-on. I don't recall it being there before, but it's tiny and blends in with my theme so I may have just missed it. Clicking on it does load the e-mail pages and it can be drag-and-dropped to the status bar... whereupon it's an invisible *icon* instead of a non-existent icon in a tiny empty button. Fortunately I managed to drag the proper empty space back up to the navigation bar. Dragging the empty button off either bar returns it to the Customize Toolbar window, but the icon is still missing above the add-on's text/label.
Thanks for seven years of browsing but too many sites I need don't work in PM these days and while yes fight the good fight against browser monoculture I just don't feel *comfortable* posting on these forums anymore...
Re: Compatibility Reports for v25
Wasn't there another version of this thread but MUCH longer somewhere?? I'm confused to as where to post broken addon reports?
Re: Compatibility Reports for v25
You will need to contact the developer. Those type of add-ons that come bundled with external programs will not be psuedo-staticed by us. Sorry.Neil_Parks wrote:NAME EagleGet 2.0.2.1
TYPE file and video download manager with an add-on and two plugins--one for 32-bit and one for 64-bit.
ISSUE video download button missing
AMO none
SITE http://www.eagleget.com
For the most part EagleGet plays very well with PM. It automatically finds PM (along with other FF or Chrome derivatives) and integrates itself to take over the file downloading function from the browser.
When you are watching a streaming FLV or MP4 on the web, a small blue rectangle containing the word "Download" is supposed to appear on the screen. Clicking on that button should cause the file manager to download the video.
In PM24.7.x, it did just what it was supposed to do. With 25.0.x, the download button has gone AWOL.

So far, I haven't really gotten very far with this to be honest and I've switched from PM x64 to PM x86 AVX

You don't need an extension for this. Pale Moon will jump to the next page when you hit space...Vallek wrote:Name: Space Next 0.34

Re: Compatibility Reports for v25
Regarding X-Notifier Lite, have you tried the full version? That one is working fine for me. Two icons, one in locked status bar section of addon bar, and the other wherever you place it (starts out in Customize). I don't get much mail at the accounts I can use with this so I don't see the alert very often but I know it is checking (it causes request for master pw every startup). IMO, if full version works out of the box with PM, just use that.

I agree, I use the Full version of X-Notifier (Gmail and Hotmail accounts) with no problems (PM 25.0.1 x64 and PM 25.0.1 x86 AVX)mikeysc wrote:Regarding X-Notifier Lite, have you tried the full version? I don't know if this is the best place to post this news as there are so many threads and it's not likely to get much visibility three pages in..., but Bamboo Feed Reader has added PM support natively in version 2.1.1.

Dang, I was just going to report that too! I just got an email reply to my review asking for PM support. Re: Compatibility Reports for v25
UPDATE:
Extension: FireFTP
I've worked with the extension developer to discuss future support for Pale Moon, and we've agreed that he'll work pale Moon support into the extension in future versions.
Since 2.0.19 works "out of the box" it should be used until such time as this conditional code is included in FireFTP in a later version to support both FF32+ and Pale Moon.
Expected time needed for the update: several weeks to 2 months. The developer does this purely in spare time next to a fulltime job, so it will take time.

Re: Compatibility Reports for v25
Tile Tabs version 11.13 is available on AMO (under Complete Version History) and specifically supports PM 25.
Tab Mix Plus version 0.4.1.6pre141025a1 is available on the support forum as the latest dev build. It fixes a bug with and supports PM 25.
Those two updates let me make the jump to PM 25.0.2 with 51 addons and 49 Custom Buttons installed -> two addons replaced from the PM addon page, one manifest guid edit, and one lost addon. Not bad

FWIW, the easy way to get to the dev build seems to be to go here ===> https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/tab-mix-plus/ ... Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on 'Devolopment Channel'.
Be careful y'all!

Since you've already contacted the extension author on the AMO page, you may want to wait for a response there.delicacy wrote:Hi, i've tested many video downloading extensions, & compared downloadhelper with unplug, unplug beats it hands down. so it's not a caprice.. rather an essential add-on for my part.
