I've posted a bug report for CookieKeeper ==> https://bugs.launchpad.net/cookiekeeper/+bug/1379937

Unfortunately my experience thus far with lanchpad.net is that the only time any attention is paid to bug reports is when multiple users post in support of a report. Thus far I'm the only one to have posted in the bug report ... Sooooo, no love for CookieKeeper.
Since I use it too, I will probably go support your request. The ubuntu one registration process is annoying however. :| EDIT : went through and upvoted.

This is important:
PLEASE CHECK THE ADD-ONS SITE (https://addons.palemoon.org/firefox/incompatible/) AND PREVIOUS POSTS BEFORE YOU POST YOUR REPORT.

Also, please keep any discussion to an ABSOLUTE MINIMUM! I cannot stress this enough...

Please phrase your report in the following format (Include those where appropriate)

Name:
Type: Extension or Theme
Issue:
Cause:
Workaround: Access options from add-on manager
AMO: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon_url (strip locale part from url like the /en-US/ part and put it in a url tag so it isn't truncated)

I'm still using CookieCuller, also in PM 25.0.1 it still works...

Weird.

This is weird? I had removed CookieCuller from my Win7 PM 25, but re-installed same just now, and _now_ I can get the CookieCuller icon onto PM 25.0.1's toolbar. At some point earlier the CookieCuller icon had disappeared from the toolbar, hence my attempt to use CookieKeeper. Hmmm?

Oh, but... None of the above is true for PM 25.0.0 in LINUX! On the linux side, CookieCuller's icon does not show in the toolbar (yes, I rechecked the 'Customize Toolbar' option), making it unconfigrable. I've already reported adnauseum regarding the CookieKeeper issue in _both_ Windows (and Linux on) PM 25.

Edit: Re-installed CookieCullen extension again in PM 25.0.0 for Linux and it DOES WORK after all! Thanks Gordon!

Bottomline, CookieCullen (at the moment) works in both Win7 and *nix (LM 17 MATE 64-bit). Unfortunately CookieKeeper has far more functionality than CookieCullen _and_ CookieKeeper is in current development, CookieCullen _is_not_.

I can confirm Nightly Tester Tools can be fixed by editing chrome.manifest. I wasn't able to get a working xpi file (It kept saying "This add-on could not be installed because it appears to be corrupt."), so I edited the installed extension in my profile.

I got it working again by adding the following:

Code: Select all

# Pale Moon chrome
overlay      chrome://browser/content/browser.xul                     chrome://nightly/content/browserOverlay.xul              application={8de7fcbb-c55c-4fbe-bfc5-fc555c87dbc4}
I haven't tested it in Firefox, but then again, Firefox can use the original extension just fine.

Pale Moon doesn't have Nightly releases, that's FF. The reason it probably still mostly works is it's a year old. When it's updated it may have things in it for Australis that aren't compatible with PM. Watch out for any Australis specific extensions. I've seen some that mention Aurora or FF>29 too; but some are OK, depending on the coding.

Name: Redirect Cleaner
Type: Extension
Issue: Installable, but Icon dont available
Cause: App ID isnt supported yet
Workaround: This workaround is from Gordon Dry.
1. open the xpi with an archive tool (winrar works for me)
2. drag and drop the file "chrome.manifest" to the desktop
3. edit the chrome.manifest with notepad and
4. Add this line to the end of the text:

Code: Select all

overlay chrome://browser/content/browser.xul chrome://redirectcleaner/content/overlay-fx.xul application={8de7fcbb-c55c-4fbe-bfc5-fc555c87dbc4}
5. save the file
6. Drag and drop the file back to the xpi in winrar, overwrite the existing one
7. install from local place to pale moon (just drag and drop the xpi into an open window of pale moon)
AMO: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/redirect-cleaner/

Name: Context Search X 0.4.6.16
Type: Extension
Issue: If general.useragent.locale is set to any of the languages CSX has been localised to, the add-on will not install (and if it has been installed to a user's profile already, it is listed in the Add-ons Manager as "null 0.4.6.16").
Cause: install.rdf
Workaround: Set general.useragent.locale to "en-US", then install the add-on (and restore the old value for general.useragent.locale afterwards).

Ok so after checking Pale Moon 25.0.1, apparently Self-Destructing Cookies, Speed DNS and IE Tab 2 are now working properly.

Thought it's best to report that so that people will know that they're fixed now.

I haven't got a response from the Scriptish author though... but GUID substitution across all the files containing the FF GUID does work.

Wonderful but Stylish 1.5.0a1 still has a double entry in the Add-ons manager.

I have started using Stylish 1.5.0a1 and it doesn't have double entry problem. Are you sure that your profile isn't corrupted or that you are not using any conflicting add-ons? Corrupted profile can cause all kind of strange problems.

Name: Personas Rotator
Type: Extension
Issue: The save function in the option menu doesn't work (the other option menu in the add-ons manager does work). Rotate next from the Personas Plus menu doesn't work, but if you use the toolbar icon it thinks Personas Plus isn't installed (due to the different extension ID probably). Auto-rotation also seems to not work.
Cause: unknown/multiple
Workaround: none that are give the same automatically functionality
AMO: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/personas-rotator/

Nope, just created another profile (called it Test.. LOL) and added just the new Stylish 1.5.0a1 extension and still got double entry.
At a guess, this is a 32-bit extension not working very well on a 64-bit browser.

Well that was pointless of the author.. If he isn't going to fix all the issues then this leaves Stylish in the exact same condition it was before as we allow all Firefox add-ons to pass the install check. Let us hope he will actually correct the issue then now that he has added support in install.rdf.

I don't think that is problem. I have no problem with version 1.5.0a1 in either AVX x64 or regular x64 Pale Moon. Also are you using some language pack?

Could you try following .xpi file and tell if it works.

(Please do not upload XPI files to the forum if you want to extange them use PM so that users don't blindly download unapproved and unauthorized edits -Tobin)
