about compact menu:had this but little chance will be updated to work & but came across Movable Firefox Button 1.4 (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... fox-button) which works well.parks itself in tabs(a problem with treestyle tabs)but can be moved to Navigation Toolbar via view-toolbars-custom provided you use full "view" screen tab. and it works in fullscreen.

Just tested add-on with modifications to add-on sdk: https://github.com/MoonchildProductions ... 64ddd14bf8. Same modifications have to be done in already installed Pale Moon to omni.ja file. File exist in same direction where Pale Moon has been installed.

Once you are there open omni.ja (for example use winrar or 7-zip) and go to /modules/commonjs/sdk and you have to modify panel.js, selection.js and widget.js. Easiest way to modify these is to copy them to desktop and put them back once you have modifield them.

This add-on seems to work with these modifications.

and to Moonchild:

Considering that commit 84a57986366bc809890b1145673a5264ddd14bf8 (https://github.com/MoonchildProductions ... 64ddd14bf8) fixes problems with some jetpack extensions it would be probably good to make Pale Moon version 25.0.1 as soon as possible to make it easier to test and fix compatibility with rest of currently non functioning or malfunctioning extensions.

Overally Pale Moon 25.0.0 is good step to the Pale Moon browser and current extensions incompatibility issues will eventually be solved in the future.

Name: RefControl 0.8.16
Type: Extension
Issue: TDB
Cause: TDB
Workaround: I (naively) suspect it is a simple matter of replacing the FF GUID to the PM GUID. But when I went through the process of extracting, going into the install.rdf and chrome.manifest files and repackaged, I got a corruption message when I tried to install it. I'll give it another shot once I am near a computer again tomorrow.

(But alternatives to RefControl would be appreciated!)

Yes, I intend to push this out as soon as possible, along with critical security fixes that I'm working on.

Name: Shorten URL (Bit.ly) 0.94
Type: Extension
Issue: Non-functional*
Cause: Pale Moon v25
Workaround: Revert to previous version of Pale Moon.
AMO: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/shorten-url-bitly/

* Extension provides functionality to create and optionally share short URL for page, link, or element from right-click context menu. After upgrade to Pale Moon 25 menu options do not appear and ability to authorize extension to bit.ly account key is nonfunctional.

Name: Quick Translator
Type: Extension
Issue: Non-functional*
Cause: Pale Moon being upgraded to v25 Moderator note: Please do NOT use this as a "cause"! if you don't know the exact cause, leave it blank or use "TBD"
Workaround: None
AMO: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/quick-translator

* Function dissapears from toolbars, status-bar and right-click context menu. Menu options don't appear anywhere. This app is arguably the best translator imo.

This is important:
PLEASE CHECK THE ADD-ONS SITE (https://addons.palemoon.org/firefox/incompatible/) AND PREVIOUS POSTS BEFORE YOU POST YOUR REPORT.

Also, please keep any discussion to an ABSOLUTE MINIMUM! I cannot stress this enough...

Please phrase your report in the following format (Include those where appropriate)

Name:
Type: Extension or Theme
Issue:
Cause:
Workaround: Access options from add-on manager
AMO: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon_url (strip locale part from url like the /en-US/ part and put it in a url tag so it isn't truncated)
Matt A Tobin wrote:Only include those items in the form that apply.. if you haven't explored a cause then don't include one.. Also "Upgraded to Pale Moon 25" is implicit and not helpful.

Currently pseudo-static version of Stylish doesn't work properly. It doesn't have two icons but it has one empty icon and editing styles doesn't work at all because context menu item: edit, is missing.

Yeah.. I pulled it.. Sorry about that..

EDIT: the "-ish" addons are gonna HAVE to be delt with by the developer or if someone wants to step up here and deal with them.. It isn't as simple as others.. The kicker? They aren't even jetpack.. they are xul/toolkit but also extremely complex compared to other extensions.

ADDITIONAL: All add-ons up to this point have been added to the known page on the add-ons site

Name: Compact Menu 2
Type: Extension
Issue: Doesn't create the menu button. Settings are still available in the view -> customize box.
Workaround: (For disabling without menu access) Browse to about:addons and disable Compact Menu 2 OR disable "Menu Bar" so the PaleMoon button comes back.
AMO: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/compact-menu-2

Name: Terms of Service; Didn’t Read
Type: Extension
Issue: Does nothing.

Name: Personas Plus
Type: Extension
Issue: Icon doesn't show
Cause: GUID? (I can try that when I have a moment if that would help)
Workaround: Some of the functions can be accomplished by using the Themes portion of the AMO website
AMO: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/personas-plus/

Minimal discussion: This will have to be forked, since it's a Mozilla written add-on. On the plus side it doesn't seem to need regular maintenance.

Yeah.. Along with DOMi and Chatzilla and a couple other Mozilla add-ons.. Actually in the case of DOMi and Chatzilla I will pull them into a branch of my codebase and actually build them. Likely rebrand them too..
