I upgraded to V27 last night. I didn't do much with it until this morning. I have an addon called "Save Images 1.1.0.3." When I tried to use it I got some wacky programming error (I probably should have done a screen dump) and it didn't work.

I rolled Palemoon back to 26.5 and functionality was restored. Don't know what to make of it.

I am having the same problem with Add Bookmark Here ² 23.0.20140225.1-signed as several others. It started today when I installed Palemoon v27. When I go back to Palemoon v26.5.0 it works fine.

Name: Tab Groups and/or Tab Groups Helper (not sure which)
Type: Extension
Issue: After v27 update of profile with many tab groups (21) and tabs(400), the tab groups appear but are disabled and have tab count 0, no tabs or groups are available to use. After recovery all tab groups work and tabs URLs appear, but most do not load until clicked on "load address at location" right arrow in the address bar. Even after recovery, the initial problem recurs as soon as Palemoon is closed. Recovery takes a long time, at least 20 minutes with multiple do you want to allow this script to continue messages to click through.
Cause: No clue.
Workaround: I have tested this on three profiles. So far only one has migrated and is working properly, which has only 6 tabs within 3 tab groups.

Running win 10 pro. This challenge happened after a PM update. (no win 10 update recently)
Installed ver 27.0.0
1. Tab groups no longer show up with entries.
2. The tab group multi-pane icon still visible. However when opened All groups are set as I made them, however all are gray and no entries.
3. My Tab Group 0.2 still installed When I rebooted it said i needed "Quick Silver Tab groups 2.1.2 However that comes up with an error incompatible with ver 27 now Tab groups is disabled and the multi-pane icon is gone..
4. Installed Tab group manager ver 9.0.6.1
5. My tree style tab ver 0.14.2014051101.1 still works and i love it.
6. I can find the groups (with no recent entries) under the bookmarks (the groups i made are there). No tab group icon in the tool bar
7. I have installed Ublock oriign 1.9.1.6

Question.
1. Tab group manager ver 9.0.6.1 will the panorama function that makes groups work still function with tab group 0.2 disabled? There is no icon in the tool bar.
2. Since the tab group function isn't available; can it be made to function again, and how do I move the urls from the book marks to the group panes
Be advised I'm a rookie @ this please make all suggestions and processes VERY basic!.

Issue: SAME AS ABOVE plus: Even after Tab Group Helper recovery, the initial problem recurs as soon as Palemoon is restarted, OR after doing a Tab Group Helper recovery without restarting by using Session Manager to restore a previous session. The restored session contains all tab groups disabled and tab counts for every group zero.
Cause: No clue.

Re: above post workaround updated:
Workaround: Fire up damaged profile in Palemoon v27+ with Tab Groups and Tab Groups Helper extensions installed. Use Tab Groups Helper to recover all tab groups from backup to get all tab groups and tabs temporarily working again. You will find that somewhere in all of your tabs there is at least one tab not auto-loading web page content when that tab is clicked on. Instead it just loads the URL into the address bar and has a right arrow, which became green if hovered over with a popup which says "Go to the Address in the Location bar". Click this green right arrow for every tab that did not auto-load the web page contents, and force every tab in your profile to display its contents. Once that is done restart the browser/profile and all tab groups will be working properly and all tabs will be accessible and auto-loaded once clicked upon.

Hello. I'm contacting you about 2 essential (at least for me) add-ons that don't work with Palemoon (27.0.1 x64). I use Palemoon in Linux Mint 18 Xfce x64.

Name: Bluehell Firewall
Type : Extension
Issue: It says "Not available for Firefox 27.9"
AMO: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/bluhell-firewall/?src=ss

Name: Simple Pop-Up Blocker
Type : Extension
Issue: It says "Not available for Firefox 27.9"
AMO: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/simple-popup-blocker/?src=ss

Many thanks in advance for any solution for these two add-ons, but I consider Bluehell Firewall to be critical because it will block any suspicious pop-up and offers you protection against malware and scam sites, by denying the redirecting and warning you. I really miss Bluehell Firewall! Thanks for Palemoon, best regards,
Rogério Pereira

Because:

Code: Select all

this.FFv32plus = versionChecker.compare(appInfo.version, '31') > 0;
For Pale Moon 27+: this.FFv32plus == false (appInfo.version == "27")

Thanks for taking the time to post your findings here, I appreciate it. I also ran into the same issue with just the Tab Groups extension enabled (panorama view showed my groups, but clicking on another group just opened a blank tab in the main group). After installing Tab Groups Helper I was able to use it to restore from a backup, but would have to restore again after each browser restart. I then went through and made sure that each tab was loaded, and I am now able to restart the browser without losing tab functionality. I also tested disabling the Tab Groups Helper, and now all tabs load properly in panorama view with just the Tab Groups extension. That said, I really like the automatic backups and the groups bar, so I'll be keeping Tab Groups Helper moving forward. Thanks again!

In summary, to fix issues loading tab groups:

1. Install Tab Groups Helper
2. Restore tabs from backup
3. Make sure that every tab is actually loaded
4. Restart browser to verify that issue is resolved

Ok, you're gonna have to explain that in a way that a computer hardware repair tech, who sucks at coding and logic, can understand what you typed. I take it you're telling me that there is something that can be edited, somewhere, but I haven't a clue where to go to do that.
