At https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... estpolicy/ the place for the older (2012) version, the author says:
But, the new/continued version did not import my existing rules.
Re-installing the older version, and importing my rules back in, appears to work even better than what happened in the PM25 upgrade.
(I don't know if this is a RequestPolicyContinued problem or a PM25 problem.)
The link goes to http://requestpolicycontinued.github.io/requestpolicy/ for a 2014 version, reported in "it just works" as OK.About this Add-on
RequestPolicy's new version is under development as RequestPolicy Continued. Ultimately, I'd like RequestPolicy Continued to replace RequestPolicy.
RequestPolicy development has been slow because I am working on ServerPilot, a cPanel alternative for DigitalOcean servers. Thankfully, some great community members are taking over development of RequestPolicy.

Well, how am I supposed to know what you have tried?Matt A Tobin wrote:It would be best if you would quit assuming I am not intimately familiar with Mozilla based code, technology, and mechanisms.
It was just a suggestion (that might be easier to implement), that could temporarily alleviate issues until you implement extensions.getAddons.*
Re: Add-ons Site General Discussion
ok, I am NOT a tech guy-- downloaded PaleMoon because I hate what they've done to Firefox --- so am I correct in understanding that at present there is no way to have add ons on PM?
These DAMNABLE ads are infuriating--- really really want Abine--
a) when do you anticipate us being able to get add ons?
b) when do you think most will work with PM?
Thnx

Most Firefox add-ons will work without trouble, as for the rest check out the known incompatible page here: http://addons.palemoon.org/firefox/incompatible/
If you find one that hasn't been reported and it isn't acting right report it here: viewtopic.php?f=44&t=5883

I use three add-ons and two of them, NoSquint and User Agent Overrider work for me without any problems and I got them from the Mozilla add-ons site.safetygenie wrote:ok, I am NOT a tech guy-- downloaded PaleMoon because I hate what they've done to Firefox --- so am I correct in understanding that at present there is no way to have add ons on PM?

The "original" Adblock Edge from the Mozilla site was the only one which didn't work properly. So Tobin made a static version of it for Pale Moon and this is my third add-on.
The misconception that "all" add-ons from the Mozilla site do not work in 25.0.1 is simply not true.

Shouldn't Pale Moon Commander be added to https://addons.palemoon.org/extensions/other/ ?

I dunno do you think Moonchild will be willing to support Pale Moon directly?

I was just needed to install PMC earlier today, was surprised that it wasn't there.

Re: Compatibility Reports for v25
Name: Download Flash and Video
Type: Extension
Issue: Can not download video
HP: http://www.fnvfox.com/
A reply to the last post of the other Reports for v25 thread:
So, I disabled Flash Video Downloader and installed "Download Flash and Video", but the first site I tried it, a video on http://www.nowvideo.ch, it not worked at all.
It only shows me a small 55kB swf, but not the actual video file, which should be about 60 to 70 MB, and no swf, but mp4...
So, for now, "Download Flash and Video" is no solution. Maybe that's because it either not supports nowvideo.ch, or it has issues with my x86-65 Linux OS?
//updated to 25.0.1
Deactivated "Download Flash and Video", and tried "Flash Video Downloader", but same issue: icon will not show, no download possible.
Will give update here after I checked out "Download Flash and Video" and 25.0.1

A reply to the last post of the other Reports for v25 thread:
Running Linux x86-64, Flash Video Downloader worked fine with latest PM 24.x version, stopped working with 25.0 version (yesterday I last checked if 25.0.1 is already available for me, but it was not)Try "Download Flash and Video"--different product, similar name.
Current release 1.63 should work for you.

Re: Add-ons Site General Discussion
I know I'm not the brightest bulb on the Xmas tree, but I'm really missing something here. I just don't understand my PMC shouldn't be readily accessible from the PM Extensions site. You may need to use monosyllabic words so I'll comprehend. Will Pittenger wrote:I think the answer to whether it belongs there or not depends on if it's considered to be specific to Pale Moon. Is Firefox supported explicitly?

Re: Add-ons Site General Discussion
The ANSWER my good and dear friends is that it just hasn't happened yet. Of course PMC, Tab Groups, and the Pale Moon persoans will make it on the add-ons site lol but at present they are still available where they have always been so it wasn't a huge priority.

Re: Add-ons Site General Discussion
Damn, so Moonchild will indeed support PMC for Pale Moon ? Amazing.

Re: Compatibility Reports for v25
FNV is intended for use with streaming video sites such as YouTube, Dailymotion, Vimeo, etc. Now Video is a video file hosting site, which is a different type of service.Raava wrote:Name: Download Flash and Video

With FNV you mean Download Flash and Video?Neil_Parks wrote:FNV is intended for use with streaming video sites such as YouTube, Dailymotion, Vimeo, etc. Now Video is a video file hosting site, which is a different type of service.
And when it is said to be a replacement for Flash Video Downloader, which could download from nowvideo.ch, it should be able to do so as well.
And the video I meant was presented as streaming video by nowvideo.ch...
When nowvideo.ch would only be file hosting, and not playing the actual video, I could download the video by other means than download the streaming video anyway...

The link provided on that page installs Quick Translator and not Tiny Menu.
