Re-hiding passwords

A german user reports that in Pale Moon 28.17.0 (macOS 11.1 Big Sur) under Security Settings passwords can be shown or hidden, but after hiding them again (I guess), that hidden state isn't saved.

The confirmation window "Are you sure to show your passwords?" is followed by "uncomprehensible and non-sense reactions", he says.

I myself have no clue about macOS and didn't find anything in mac release notes, nor forum search.

Help appreciated, thx

Not sure what behavior they are referencing, I tested the latest build and it functions without problem.

It does use the popup-dialog that had issues in 28.15 before my patches, but that should be fixed in 28.16 and 28.17.

Unless it is a problem with German localization?

OK, thx for looking into it.
German OP didn't reply about "nonsense reactions" claim (in PM 28.17.0) anyway, so case closed for now.

Live report from the other thread in German language (viewtopic.php?f=7&t=25975)! The OP deactivated the addon Classic Password Editor 1.1.2 , which he downloaded from the Pale Moon homepage. Now his passwords are hidden once again as they should. However Moonchild tested the same addon and didn't notice any problems with it.

No one downloads any add-on from the "Pale Moon Homepage". Also, has anyone BOTHERED to reach out to Daniel Dawson to see what the problem is and get it fixed?

User fixed the problem by fresh installation of both, Pale Moon 28.17.0 and "Classic Password Editor" 1.1.2 on macOS 11.1 Big Sur.
