New to Apple need some help please

I am just getting my first ever apple product set-up. I am hoping to be able to use Pale Moon for Mac as my primary browser. But I am unsure how to do some things and a search of the forum yielded nothing. Here is a short list of what I could use directions for, if they are even possible.

-As a P M user for years, i have accumulated a long list of bookmarks. Is there any way to move the bookmarks from P M for Windows to P M for Mac?

-I also took a fairly long time to get P M configured to look and work as I have it now. Is there any way to move all those settings over?

-I have very few extensions and plug-ins. Only Java is set to always allow, Silverlight and Flash must ask and are almost never used. Are the ones I have now likely to work in the Mac version of P M? Here are my extensions:
  • Adblock Latitude 5.0.6 true
    BetterPrivacy 1.68.1-signed true
    Expire history by days 1.1.1-signed
    Moon Tester Tool 1.2. true
    OpenDownload² 4.2.1 true
Self-Destructing Cookies for Pale Moon 1.0.4.13 true
I am not a fan of apps and I use only one device. For now I have my win 7 PC and the new Mac Mini. In the future the PC will be taken offline and only used for some non-online stuff I have which I would like to keep using. Do the same extensions/plug-ins that work in P M for Windows also work for P M for Apple? Are there any links on the P M forum or elsewhere to help with P M for Mac?

In addition to browser related stuff, I currently use Outlook 2010 for email which is hosted by Proton.mail.com which has an app to work with Outlook and other email programs. Proton can work with either Apple Mail or Thunderbird. I do store most of my sent or received emails on my box and use my Email provider as back-up. The same applies with documents and pictures, stored locally. I do have a paid picture host for those pics I want to be able to post online or to which I want to link people. I do not use the cloud.

Any advice on Apple mail v.s. Thunderbird as being the better choice would be welcomed. Fewer features and better privacy are my main desires. I consider 90% of Outlook and Word to be bloatware, I never use it and it causes problems more than anything else. So advice on a good word type program is also something I can use advice on. For both email and documents, moving years of them into whatever new format I will be using with Mac is an extremely important consideration.

I am not a typical user. I do not use social media and I do not download almost anything and do not stream much either. I realize Apple is not Windows, but anything I can do to make it look and work in a similar way to things I now do in Win 7 would be a big plus. So any advice on that would be a blessing.

Thanks in advance for any help. Of course the Pale Moon issues are the most important ones with which I need help on this site. This includes the best way to get it onto my new Mac Mini.

For bookmarks, just back them up to a USB flash stick and then restore them into the browser on the new Mac.
For extensions, if you did not keep backup copies of the installers, you can still download them and install them. I keep backup copies of everything I install, whether it be applications or extensions or themes.

Currently there isn't an official build of Pale Moon for macOS, so you'll have to depend on independent builds made by forum users.

The bookmarks catalog has a tool to export and import bookmarks. It works between different OS without problem.

copying your Pale Moon profile should do the job, but I don't recommend doing it because it could break the browser in some way due to differences in browser versions. Maybe Pale Moon Sync could help.

So far all of the add-ons and plugins I use have worked without problems on both Linux and macOS. As long as the build you're using was compiled correctly there shouldn't be any issue with add-ons.

Only these forums and the (unofficial) Pale Moon subreddit as far I know.

In relation to your search for an email client, I think you'll get better answers on the Apple and macOS subreddits, but in my opinion you should use Apple Mail if bloat is your main concern (is less privacy friendly than Thunderbird, but so is the rest of macOS).

Direct profile copy from different operating systems WILL bust that profile without special care of which is not supported. So, don't do it.

I am typing this on the Mac using P M. I am mid-transfer in the move. Iam still mostly lost on Mac but can do some things. However, my win 7 machine would not boot today. I believe it is the power supply. I am taking the box to the shop tomorrow. I have a lot of file on the windows HD I was planning to move over. I do have a back-up and I did a full drive clone about two months back.

P M for Mac is a bit different than for Windows but I am able to navigate everywhere so far. I do have Safari as a back up.

Thank you to all those who make the Mac version of P M possible.

You could copy the extensions from the old profile if they are in the form of .xpi files, and use those to install into the new computer's Pale Moon.
