Pale Moon 28.0.0b4
Ok! I'm stoked! I didn't see any new commits/pull requests in the OSX theme directory, so unless i'm blind, i think i just solved the private browsing window bug for OSX! I'll merge my browser.css if nobody else claims the fix.

Do you mean Issue #553 (UXP)?

Re: Pale Moon 28.0.0b4
Yes and no. I meant proper placement of the min/max/close buttons. I saw your fixes for getting them to show again. (Great job btw.) I'd been making changes locally the last week or so and my last build had them placed properly. Or did you last patch fix that and i just reinvented the wheel since my last clone 4 days ago?SpockFan02 wrote:Do you mean Issue #553 (UXP)?
Either way, that was the last bump in the road for OSX i believe.

I'm afraid that would be Issue #586 (UXP).wicknix wrote:Yes and no. I meant proper placement of the min/max/close buttons.SpockFan02 wrote:Do you mean Issue #553 (UXP)?
Thanks!wicknix wrote:I saw your fixes for getting them to show again. (Great job btw.)
See the issue linked above; I'd still be curious as to how you solved it, though.wicknix wrote:I'd been making changes locally the last week or so and my last build had them placed properly. Or did you last patch fix that and i just reinvented the wheel since my last clone 4 days ago?
I'm afraid not; the bookmark star doorhanger has buttons which are missing icons, and when clicked one of them expands outside the doorhanger and the other leaves a discolored empty space when clicked again (to hide tags). The Show all tags button in bookmarks' properties (right-click in places toolbar, Properties) is also missing its icon. There are probably more problems; I think maybe we should consider reverting to the old theme (pre-BitVapor, inherited from osx Firefox 24) and reapplying Pale Moon-specific changes on top of that.wicknix wrote:Either way, that was the last bump in the road for OSX i believe.
I've also been told there are other (presumably not just theme-specific) macOS problems, but Tobin didn't want a meta issue to be opened so as to avoid getting people's hopes up too early about an official release.

Greetings, everyone!
This is amazing, I cannot thank you enough.
Down to which version of OS X will this be compatible? Will it be available for Snow Leopard?

Re: Pale Moon 28.0.0b4
Unfortunately, UXP and Pale Moon 28 are not compatible with Snow Leopard, due to changes made by Mozilla after they dropped support for everything below OS X 10.9. We are hoping to make the Mac version of Pale Moon official at the same time Pale Moon 28 is released, and it will support OS X 10.7 and higher.GalacticVixen wrote:Greetings, everyone!

This version is compatible with the prior unofficial build, I can restore previous sessions no problem.

Trying this out and it works great! The only exception that the forward and back trackpad gestures no longer work. Any known workarounds/fixes?

Re: Pale Moon 28.0.0b4
Do note everyone, this new Macintosh official version which will be coming soon isn't going to be 100% perfect out of the gate. This is the first time that we have had a truly serious effort to develop for Macintosh as opposed to just building builds.
We have to contend with some of the mistakes made in previous efforts and bring things into alignment and make a huge effort to coordinate development by those who know the platform in general and the new Macintosh Team.
Basically, while there have been off and on mac builds for years now, Pale Moon on Mac is new. Like Linux it will get there and just getting it to official branding is the beginning and not the end. So please keep that in mind.

Re: Pale Moon 28.0.0b4
Confirmed, it works in NewMoon 27.9.0 but not 28. Expected behavior is that swiping left or right with two fingers should go back or forward in history, correct?asimperson wrote:Trying this out and it works great! I'll mention it on GitHub but I don't think this should block release. Workaround is to use command+[ and command+].

It's a good thing I don't use hand gestures when in a browser.

Yep, that's the correct behavior. I agree it's probably not a blocker.SpockFan02 wrote:Confirmed, it works in NewMoon 27.9.0 but not 28. I mean, I don't really use most of the available gestures, but I've gotten used to swiping forward/back over the years. For me, it's just trackpad equivalent of using the forward/back buttons on a well-equipped mouse.KlarkKentThe3rd wrote:It's a good thing I don't use hand gestures when in a browser.

Re: Pale Moon 28.0.0b4
Hi and thanks to everyone who built Pale Moon on Mac. For me it's been great since the 28 version I have crashes with any of the 28 versions. So I have to go back to the 27.9
Here's the crash report (3 crashes in 20 seconds)

everything works fine but if I want to access the replay page
https://replay.reallifecam.com/en/view/ ... rom=scenes
I get a blank page. It used to work fine but since some months I only have a blank page. I tried on FireFox and it's working fine.
So I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed with the recent versions of PM in fact since the New Moon appelation it seems.
Oh and I have the latest version of Mac OS
Sorry I had to cut my message cos it was too long

Re: Pale Moon 28.0.0b4
Bug report time.
Just as with previous unofficial builds, the NoScript logo sometimes disappears from the left of the URL bar (where I put it). The add-on is still installed and accessible through double click on a page, but still annoying. The same thing happened with uBlock once too once. I fixed it with "Customize". This problem seems to be random, and can (or can not) happen with each new window. When I restore a previous session, and some windows had the NS icon missing, it will still be missing.
Sometimes a window will not have the scroll bar in it (or guess it's invisible).

If you have specific bugs to report, please create a new topic. This thread has become impossible to manage because it's a collective vat for all sorts of things for a beta that has been superseded for a while already.
