Thanks again sugis! Seems faster with this iteration. Working great on mid-2010 MacBook Pro OS 10.9.5.

Re: Pale Moon 27.0.3
Seems to be a bit snappier on a mid 2012 MBP running macOS Sierra 10.12.2 than the beta
Now, all I gotta do is figure how to stop various transitions and other bits of flashy crap from happening that websites think are cool but give me a stonking headache. I guess a Stylish-type sort of add-on is gonna be needed
That's not the programmers' fault, but the self-interested parties who try and define the HTML "standard"
Don't know about Youtube or anything like that as I don't do Flash or social media.
(Maybe I should try Lynx, no? ;-P)
Well done Sugis

Happy New Year, all!
I just installed 27.0.3 for Mac ... and found that there are no preferences. The only item in the menu is 'Quit'. I remember that this happened on a previous version, and that it got fixed somehow, but I can't remember how.
Is there another download link, perhaps?
Or what was the fix? Does anyone remember?

Re: Pale Moon 27.0.3
@silvercloud, fix is simple, just quit and at next launch of PM the menu is complete again.
The other remaining bug is a sticky "private window" with window controls absent, but you can still close it with CMD—W.
Besides that PM 27.0.3 works flawlessly here on OS X 10.6. Regarding snappiness, well, it is definitely not slower

Thank you as always for maintaining this build.
For me, that bug only occurs on the first start of the browser. Closing the browser and reopening it always fixes the issue for me.silvercloud wrote:Happy New Year, all!

I've never seen anything besides "Quit" in that menu since 27 came out.

Re: Pale Moon 27.0.3
I am running PaleMoon for MacOS now!
Thanks for the work!
Got similar issues:
- I've never seen anything besides "Quit" in that menu since 27 came out.
- no checkmarks in menus
Not sure If I can help in coding (have completely no clue on what is required to build OSX version
)
Let me know if you need help beside bug reported
P.S. So many extensions cannot be installed, cannot do real battle test yet
Thanks for the work!

Re: Pale Moon 27.0.3
Thanks again for all of your hard work. I too have experienced the "Quit bug" (on 10.11.6 and 10.6.8) but it seems to be a non-issue after restarting, and it only occurs on first launch for me.
The latest version of Greasemonkey works great with it (I'm using it with a userscript limiting YouTube to 30 fps to reduce CPU load).

It even works on Snow Leopard, making it the only (apart from Firefox ESR, for a little while longer) updated browser for this OS. Please, let future versions work also!

Thank you so much for opening the door for me to Pale Moon on the Mac OS.
Now it has replaced Firefox and Vivaldi and Chrome on my machine.

Re: Pale Moon 27.0.3
Only issue I'm having with this version is that I cannot set it as default browser. It's listed as default in the OSX settings (10.10.5) but every time Pale Moon opens, it asks the "not default, would you like to set as default?" question.

Re: Pale Moon 27.0.3
Indeed. But if your Mac has a Core 2 Duo CPU, you can also run Waterfox, which is based on the latest codebase for Firefox. However, Waterfox is 64-bit only (so it won't run on Core Duo Macs).skogtun wrote:It even works on Snow Leopard, making it the only (apart from Firefox ESR, for a little while longer) updated browser for this OS. Just spotted this...back2themoon wrote:Only issue I'm having with this version is that I cannot set it as default browser. It's listed as default in the OSX settings (10.10.5) but every time Pale Moon opens, it asks the "not default, would you like to set as default?" question.
Go to about:config and set browser.shell.checkDefaultBrowser to false and you're all set
