Re: Pale Moon 26.5.0 for Mac
I think the statusbar is not working? nothing show. (like when I place cursor over a link).
Re: Pale Moon 26.5.0 for Mac
Seems to work fine for me -- do you have any extensions loaded that modify it? If you use a clean profile, is it still busted?
Re: Pale Moon 26.5.0 for Mac
This version crashes at random on my machine. Especially when I do Tools -> Addons -> Extensions, it crashes instantly without displaying the extensions page. I tried disabling all extensions and restarted the browser in safe mode but the problem remains. The crash report always contains the same info, which is:
Exception Name: NSInvalidArgumentException

If that helps, I am using OS X 10.11.6 with a GeForce GT 540M and Nvidia web driver v346.03.15f02. For some reason the latest palemoon beta (27.0.0b2) doesn't crash on my machine but I noticed some extensions doesn't work as expected with that build so I'd very much prefer to stick to a stable build. Any help is welcome. Thanks!

Re: Pale Moon 26.5.0 for Mac
How is that an answer.. They are saying Tycho is fine.. but Release isn't.
Re: Pale Moon 26.5.0 for Mac
Indeed. The latest beta based on Tycho doesn't crash.Matt A Tobin wrote:How is that an answer.. They are saying Tycho is fine.. but Release isn't.
Re: Pale Moon 26.5.0 for Mac
I also want to mention that I tried to use a fresh profile with Pale Moon 26.5.0. Still crashes. Same behavior with the previous stable release (26.4.0.1), a fresh install with a new profile crashes with or without extensions.
Re: Pale Moon 26.5.0 for Mac
what are the differences between "media support" version and "non-media support" version?
Re: Pale Moon 26.5.0 for Mac
Just what it says on the box -- media support depends on GStreamer which provides audio and video decoding in the browser.
Cookies management/exceptions issue Pale Moon 26.5.0 for Mac
Hey there,
I just switched over to Palemoon from Firefox and I'm having an issue with cookies management/exceptions.
My settings in the privacy tab usually are:
Remember browsing & download history
Accept cookies from sites
Never accept 3rd party cookies
Keep until: Ask me every time
Normally this gives me result of building a useful cookies exceptions list as I go, while allowing me stay logged into my email or other sites I log into frequently. — However, suddenly, whenever I leave the 'Accept cookies from sites' checked (with the other options listed above), for some reason, Palemoon accepts cookies from all sites I visit, as well as 3rd party cookies AND adds them as 'allow' to the exceptions list! ...Er, I'm kind of alarmed by this, since I switched to Palemoon because I want to be able to manage cookies the way I like, as opposed to the way Firefox now likes.
...Did I screw up some setting somewhere?
I already checked my computer for viruses with Malwarebytes and ClamXav. It's supposedly clean.
Help?

Re: Pale Moon 26.5.0 for Mac
Take a look at these two add-ons that are completely compatible with v27.0. I think they will greatly simplify your cookie management efforts.
Crush Those Cookies
Cookies Exterminator

Re: Pale Moon 26.5.0 for Mac
Thanks for your reply, CraigPD. ...However, those extensions don't address my issue. I don't want Palemoon to add all sites I visit to the cookies exceptions list as 'Allow' by default, just because I need to allow *some* cookies. I want to be able to control the cookies and exceptions manually as they come up, and to decide whose cookies to allow or block in the first place. That's the point of using Palemoon for me.
Does anyone know how to fix this? ...Or do I need to go back to Firefox37 ?

Re: Pale Moon 26.5.0 for Mac
Hi, unless you think this is a Mac-specific problem (can someone test on Linux or Windows to see if it is the same there?), you will probably get better help in one of the general forums. Please try to keep the Mac forum for Mac specific bugs
You might also try the new Pale Moon 27, the 26 branch is now deprecated.

Re: Pale Moon 26.5.0 for Mac
Hi Sugis,
I'm on a Mac OSX Mavericks. I don't have access to a PC or whatever Linux is, so I don't know if it applies there also, but I couldn't find similar posts or solutions in the general forums, that's why I posted it here.
Am I the only one with this issue? Is it possible that I screwed up some setting somewhere?
I don't think my addons are causing the problem, since it's doing it even when I restart with addons disabled.
...Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Re: Pale Moon 26.5.0 for Mac
I tried Palemoon27, but then discovered in the release notes that it dropped the pdf viewer, which is working just fine for me, and which I'd like to keep. Also, 27 totally freaked out on me when sites tried to set a billion cookies while restoring the previous session (presumably because of whatever bug or setting is causing my problem in the first place) and then crashed. So I went back to 26.5., which at least hasn't crashed so far, but keeps flooding me with cookies.

cookie controller works fine for me with 26.5: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... src=searchsilvercloud wrote:So I went back to 26.5., which at least hasn't crashed so far, but keeps flooding me with cookies.
Re: Pale Moon 26.5.0 for Mac
Thanks for your suggesiton, dubGUN ! That certainly is a useful addon!
However, what I've figured out so far is that certain websites, among them: amazon and facebook (ugh!), appear to be able to manipulate my cookies exceptions list to always 'Allow' their cookies, even after I manually edit the list to block them! ARgh!
